cbkschubert (1945), Cochise Co., Arizona, USA Apr 3, 2008 12 oz. bottle via trade with Linus Stick - Pours a crystal clear light golden color with a 1/2 finger thick white head. Very light spotty lacing. Aroma is grain, herbal and grassy hops. Flavor is lightly sweetened grain and herbal hops. The palate has a slight lingering cloyness to it. Medium body. A pretty good Pils. Thanks Alan. hiddenvariable (194), pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 2, 2008 almost perfectly clear, almost no color at all. a very pale yellow, but with a nice white head that sticks around for a while and laces nicely. nice grassy and spicy noble hop flavor, with a clean honey/straw malt. very dry smell. clean dry taste of slightly fruitier hops, as well as that (saaz?) spice and earthiness. the malt is more prominent, but it’s so not sweet that it’s hard to pinpoint the flavor. the overall effect is something like a lightly flavored cake, and i can’t put my finger on the flavor, but it’s very springy. it’s a spring cake. i wouldn’t call it complex, but it’s definitely hard to describe. very dry finish, with a light but resinous hop bitterness. quite light bodied but with a great mouthfeel. plenty of carbonation. very refreshing. can cake made of spring be refreshing? if it can, this is what that is. i like lawnmower beers, and this one works great. pojo41 (315), Hattiesburg, Mississippi, USA Mar 31, 2008 Poured a hazy straw color. Decent white head with a pretty good lace. Good clean malt flavor. I thought this was a pretty good pils. The hazy appearance was unusual for a lager but, didn’t detract from the flavor. Palidor19 (1750), Brandon, Florida, USA Mar 25, 2008 This one is pretty much for the casual drinking expirence. is crisp and clean with mild piny hop presence. slightly grassy nick76 (2636), Tampa, Florida, USA Mar 25, 2008 The aroma is lemony with malt and grass. The appearance is clear white with yellow. The flavor is like the aroma. The palate is thin. Overall it’s not bad tasting but it’s very weak. sheatripper (863), Brooklyn, New York, USA Mar 15, 2008 Bottle. Looks like champagne--a platinum/gold with orderly bubbles. Foamy/moussy white head. Sharp grassy hop aroma with a bit of lemon and straw. Very light and clean flavors in the base with a crisp and dry lemony hop finish. Some lasting bitterness afterward. Nice hoppy presence, but seems a bit too light bodied and lacking that little extra substance in the malt side which would make this a great pils. Nonetheless, basically clean and crisp with no offensive notes. Outchillen (29), Pennsylvania, USA Mar 8, 2008 This was my intro beer into craft beers, its a light bitter summer beer. Goes great with seafood, and great to cook with. Cons are its not smooth enough for the summer biggmike (480), Hattiesburg, Mississippi, USA Feb 28, 2008 Poured in a pilsener glass and was a bright yellow color that was clear and with little head. Aroma was not real strong but it was somewhat grassy. Flavor has a light hop taste to it and I detected a bit of a lemon taste and possibly some honey. Mouthfeel was good. Solid but unspectacular beer.
