Dubbercody (214), Vancouver, Washington, USA Aug 23, 2007 Bottle from trade. Showed up on my porch yesterday...bang into the fridge it went, and I’m enjoying it today, hot and muggy....
Tasty if a wee bit astringent with some lemony overlapping. Goes down easy as I’m halfway through my glass already...
Not bad for a East coast beer. I’ll stick to my west coasties, but not a bad trade bonus beer. bdjames29 (272), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Aug 4, 2007 Bottle. Appearance is a shade dark than Miller Lite. Pearly white head - laced very nicely. Lemon, a bit an astringent cleaner flavor. Very crisp and clean. Backbone is natural - grassy. All in all, a nice pils. I would rebuy if I could get it. My first offering from Troegs. TURDFERGUSON (1594), Carrboro, North Carolina, USA Jul 31, 2007 Bottle from hopdog. Clear yellow with a small white head and a little bit of lacing. Nose is grainy and grassy. I really dont like the smell of pilseners, especially when they smell like this. Flavor is more wheat, grassy hops, a little bit of bitterness in the finish. Not offensive, but nothing I’d choose to drink again with the millions of choices in the craft beer world of America. guzzler67 (1272), Hanover, Maryland, USA Jul 29, 2007 Clear, pale yellow appearance with a medium size white head and little lacing. Grassy aroma accented by grainy malts. Light to medium bodied; nicely carbonated; clean and crisp on the palate. Dry, bitter, decently hopped taste. Tart, in a green apple type way. Refreshing, down-to-earth pils. IrishBoy (2685), Bakersfield, California, USA Jul 24, 2007 Bottle from Eaglefan538; nose is grainy with a little lemony notes; crystal clear yellow with a medium white head; flavor has wheaty grain with some hop bitterness that lasts to the finish. Good hoppy Pilsener! Hawksfan17 (717), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 19, 2007 Pours a transluscent yellow gold with a white head. Sweet fruit and wheat on the nose. It reminded me of summer; it triggered the smell and taste of watermelon. Wheat, grain, grassy hops with a crisp and slightly bitter finish. kkearn (994), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 14, 2007 Draft. Sampled most recently at Tip O’leary’s, Havertown PA. Poured pale golden, with a thick off-white head. Aroma was faint; was primarily citric hops with a bit of malt. Crisp hop flavor, with good malt support. Some citrus, herb and fruit flavors in the finish. Nice and refreshing. JCB (1713), Durham, North Carolina, USA Jul 13, 2007 Certainly has a crisp feel and a dry finish, with a very bitter character. Was hoping for something slightly more balanced, on a par with Prima Pils maybe, but this is solid enough.
