pivo (2535), Germany Mar 27, 2007 Light dusty grainy nose, yellow color, low head. Grainy, corny malt--like Bud somehow. Broad pointed bitter but not too powerful. Very thin and weak. melvin980 (184), Pennsylvania, USA Jan 31, 2007 Bubbly ole pils daddy. Standard beer, not too much taste, but refreshinggggggg. EithCubes (2140), Indiana, USA Jan 5, 2007 Bottle. Grassy bitterness coming out of the bottle, the strength of a skunk but not at all unpleasant. Light citrus and a certain sour tang. Body is Plae yellow supporting a big foamy white head, good lace. Shallow bitter pils taste is a bit metallic and a bit citric (lemon-sided), a little too simplistic. Thinnish body is thicker than many pilsners, but bland and not all that crisp. Boring at best. JFURYCAT (782), East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 9, 2006 This one ends with a lemony grassy crispness but isn’t too powerful on first sip. The hops are well balanced in this pils and it doesn’t have any bitter offensive tones I’ve encountered with other American pilseners. A session beer this is but its nothing exceptional when it comes to flavor. vyvvy (2023), Hazelwood, Missouri, USA Dec 2, 2006 I was hoping for more with this pils. Pours pale yellow with a large sudsy / soapy white head. The aroma is clean sweet pale malt. Medium / light body with a moderate amount of sharp carbonation. Starts with very grainy malt with a touch of sourness (light skunk) that is probably from light damage. The finish has spicy / grassy / woody hops with a nice touch of earthy harshness - still some sourness though. Well done easy drinking pils, without the sour qualities this would have been great for the style. AlchemistZ (493), Richmond, Virginia, USA Nov 5, 2006 Very pale in color, almost lemon yellow in hue, with a thin, white head and an aggressive carbonation rising through the body. Aroma is delicate with some American cheese slice and tart aromatics with just a touch of sulphur underpinning. A citric acid-like flavor and sensation balances out a slightly bland malt then finishes with some nice, earthy, perfumey hop flavor and the acidity fighting it all the way. This reminds me quite a bit of New Holland’s Full Circle. jpm30 (1588), East Central, Georgia, USA Oct 29, 2006 From a 12 oz. bottle with no freshness date, a blurb on the neck label, served in a pilsener glass.
Poured a clear bright, pale yellowish golden with a foamy white head that settled into a thin sudsy lacing.
Aromas of sweet honey malts, floral, spicy hops accented by a soft herbal.
Good carbonation and a crisp, dryish, smooth light bodied mouthfeel.
Tastes of lemon honey and dry biscuity malts, spicy herbal hops with a subtle flowery flavor, cleansing bitterness and a dryish sweet malty, herbal finish.
A tasty and balanced pilsener, well worth trying.
Volgon (2487), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA Sep 24, 2006 Bottle: Light yellow with a thin small-bubbled white head, aroma has elements of hay and light flowers, light but solid carbonation, starts and ends lightly bitter, crisp ending. A very nice pilsener.
