kenb (1100), Oregon, USA Sep 23, 2006 12 oz bottle via trade with Frumpty (thanks!). Pours a clear blonde color with a large foamy white head. Nice Pilsner aroma with subtle notes of bananna/yeast, grass and possibly saaz hops? Interesting flavors. Tastes more like a fizzy Hefe than a Pilsner. A bit of an acidic burn in the finish and the hops do come through in the aftertaste. A bit too carbonated. Zeswaft (1000), Seattle, Washington, USA Sep 21, 2006 Extremely pale in color. Sort of a grassy earth aroma. Flavor is nice. Well balanced. Mildly spice hopped. I wish it was more malty. A little light but that’s what you get with a pilsener. I’d drink a lot of these. YogiBeera (2437), Hamburg, Germany Sep 9, 2006 Straw yellow, small head on top. Very light lemon citrus taste that lasts medium long. very light grass nose. JB175 (1654), Bucks County, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 6, 2006 Updated: Sep 18, 2006Draft (in plastic cup) at Phillies game. Aroma was light and grassy-citrus. Sweet taste with nice mild hop flavor and just a slight malty backing. Pretty good for the style, though I think Victory’s Prima Pils and Sly Fox’s pils are just a bit better. Still, for the style this is not bad - especially considering the conditions. Will have to try again in a proper environment. Numenor (869), Richmond, Virginia, USA Aug 27, 2006 Cloudy lemon juice colored body. slightly lemon aroma, bready yeast accent. Good pils taste, light spiced ending. maniac (2628), Richmond, Virginia, USA Aug 25, 2006 Clear pale yellow color with a thin white head. Sweet light grassy hops aroma. Sweet grassy flavor with a slight grainy end. mj (4975), Colorado, USA Aug 25, 2006 Bottle. Very light yellow color to the body, and clear, not that great of a color, but the head is properly formed, fluffy and white. Light grassy lemon and wheat and hay in the nose. Very crisp up front on the tongue, promising, I would say, but the flavor, when I’m expecting something sweet and crisp and lively, is more of a butane and fuesal sort of flavor. Finish is better, though, with a nice but mild crispness and a light dryness. bubbleflubber (885), Collinsville, Virginia, USA Aug 18, 2006 Clear straw pour with a lightly retentive head. Lemons and mash to the nose. The flavors are much the same, not very complex, with a dry earthen hop back. There is a candy lemon drop effervescence about the brew, with a definite lingering peppered hop back-palate.
