Aroma of grainy pale malts and some noble hops with a hint of maize. Starts fairly light in body with a mild malty sweetness and turning more earthy, dry and floral saaz hoppy bitter toward a crisp finish. Fairly true to style, but nothing too interesting.

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 1/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jul 2, 2006 This is the first Troegs beer that I didn’t like. Poured an almost clear pale yellow, resembling urine. Had a hop crispness but a watery body. It didn’t have much appeal at all. It was missing color, character, flavor and body. stison42 (318), Blacksburg, Virginia, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Jun 28, 2006 Unimpressive presentation gives way to my favorite summer beer. It’s crisp, clean, hoppy, palate presents the slightly citrusy, mostly grainy flavor in a beautiful harmony. It’s so straightforward that there isn’t much else to pontificate on, aside from the fact that it is very good. It tastes as though the fine folks at Troegs listened to American macro commercials and said, "Hey, why don’t we make that?" and when they were done came out with an excellent beer. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 27, 2006 Bottle: Pours to a clear, pale, bright yellow color with a medium white head that sticks nicely. The aroma is light sweet bread, dough, pale malt, apples, lightly bitter floral & herbal hops, overall fairly mild but spot on. The taste is a mix of floral, grassy, bitter hops and a light dough, bread, apple-like fruit, as well as a hint of lemon rind and a touch of honeydew. Inititally I wasn’t blown away by this one, but as time went on and I really took some time working on the flavors, it dawned on me that the nice light malt and bittering hops are very nicely done. Light bodied, though not too thin, crisp, medium carbonation, with very flavorful hops that resist the trend of over-hopped uber-pilsners.
