Radek Kliber (3931), Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), Ontario, Canada Aug 7, 2009 On tap at The Ginger Man
Appearance: bright golden pils with mid white top. Neat light ring of lace noted. 3+ Nose: mild hop front with pale malts followed. Sweet malty finish. Flavor/Palate : mid bodied. Good malty introduction followed by hop mid. Mineral bitter top. Rather short abrupt finish. Disappointing.
rampmaster (316), Alden, New York, USA Jul 29, 2009 Presentation: It was poured from a brown 12oz bottle into a Pilsener glass.
Appearance: Its body bright golden color with some cool sparkling carbonation. The head is small, about one finger thick, bright white in color and slowly fades down to a small slick ring of lace.
Smell: There is a full bouquet of mostly floral/spicy hops with light pale malt and just a slight hint of sulfur.
Taste/Mouth: The flavor is very crisp and clean with a solid medium body. Hop flavor is bright, floral, and clean with a pleasing level of bitterness. Just under the hops there is a modest level of crisp, dry, and pale white bready malt. The finish is quick, dry and fairly clean with some light hop bitterness. Its carbonation is quite active which gives it a lively and refreshing texture.
Notes: This is a great refreshing beer with excellent Pilsner Flavor.
Dogbrick (2816), Columbus, Ohio, USA Jul 23, 2009 This beer is a clear pale yellow color with a thin white head that recedes quickly. Stringy lacing on the glass. Mild citrus and hops aroma. Light, clean body with flavors of citrus, pale malt and a touch of hops. The finish is grainy hops with a light hops and pepper aftertaste. Just average overall. Hangover (764), Atlanta, USA Jul 23, 2009 Light hoppy, straw aroma. Musty flavor with straw and bread. Light, spicy aftertaste. ljay6880 (132), , Pennsylvania, USA Jul 23, 2009 12 oz draft served in a pilsner glass. Pour was a crystal clear, almost shimmering, variety of gold. A medium amount of fluffy white head sat atop of this liquid happiness. Nose was actually pretty bland. It smelled very close to a plain wheat beer. Taste was very light and bland as well. It was very crisp and bitter, but not much more to say about it. This would be a great beer to drink on a very hot day outside and I could even describe this beer as quite refreshing. I prefer a more robust and thicker bodied brew though. Ron (1002), Rochester, New York, USA Jul 19, 2009 Bottle. Pours clear golden yellow with a small head and a thin lace. The aroma is earthy hops with citrus hints. The taste is citrus, malts, and a bit of bitter hops with some grains. This had medium carbonation and decent balance. tgncc (798), Bellmore, New York, USA Jul 18, 2009 The aroma is malty, grassy, green apple. The appearance is typical for the style, straw color, white head. The flavor is sweet, honey, malts, grains, then noble hops. The finish is a strict bittering, from noble hops. Thin/medium mouthfeel. This is an above average effort in what I consider to be an uninteresting style. HogTownHarry (3922), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada Jul 18, 2009 Bottle (12oz). Clear pale yellow, large fizzy white head. Smells like canola and lightly of pear, very floral and pungent. Taste is quite metallic up-front, it eases off to a soft herbal/floral bitterness with a light heathery sweetness in behind - very soft and delicate. Light, dry, airy mouthfeel, slightly astringent, mildly carbonated and quick-finishing. I like it!
