Pours clear yellow with a small soapy white head. Smells crisp, lightly spicy, hints of grain. Taste is clean, light bitterness, hint of earthiness. Light-bodied with a wet texture and average mouth-carbonation, Tröegs Sunshine Pils finishes with a crisp cleanness.

12oz can. Wow, can’t believe that I haven’t raked this one before. Pours a very pale straw color with a larger pure white head that lasts. Aromas of citrus and skunky (noble) type hops. Taste is semi dry and very lightly bitter. Not a huge amount of hops used here. Very fittingly classified as a pils, as anything more would be a stretch. Kind of creamy, kind of spritzey but no adjuncts detected. High carb, low boost, low hops. What the fuck do you expect. A drinkable beer that is best suited for duct taping a 12 pack to your riding lawn mower at 8am and just cutting the grass with reckless abandon.

Can. Better Beer Of The Month Club. Clear straw color with a white head. Aroma of grains, grassy and slightly floral hops and a malty note. Slightly sweetish flavor, with grains and slightly bready/crackery malt, continues with grassy hops and a crisp bitter finish. Rather light-bodied. Decent and refreshing.

Growler to a pint. Clear light yellow with bright white head which fades to broken lacing. Nicely balanced toasted grain and a touch of hop presence... Light and refreshing. Good Pils...

Draft at Good Dog. Clear golden yellow pour with a large white fizzy/foamy head. Splashes of lace. Lots of floral citrus notes with an unusual powdery element. Lemon zest. Pollin. Dandelions. Buttered biscuits. Chalk dust. Grass. Orange juice. Watermelon rind. Green bananas. Green tomatoes. Watercress. Artichokes. Fresh oak and pine planks. Lemon meringue pie. Definitely a pilsner but also reads as a mild IPA. Refreshing.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Its body bright golden color with some cool sparkling carbonation. The head is small, about one finger thick, bright white in color and slowly fades down to a small slick ring of lace. There is a full bouquet of mostly floral/spicy hops with light pale malt and just a slight hint of sulfur. The flavor is very crisp and clean with a solid medium body. Hop flavor is bright, floral, and clean with a pleasing level of bitterness. Just under the hops there is a modest level of crisp, dry, and pale white bready malt. The finish is quick, dry and fairly clean with some light hop bitterness. Its carbonation is quite active which gives it a lively and refreshing texture.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Familiar look for a pils. Muted straw yellow hues with a bit more head/lacing from the generous hopping in this rendition. Aromas of chalkdust, melon rind, sparkling lemon water, and crisp noble hops. Lively carbonation with tinge of lemon juice and overly dry finish. A bit on the acrid side of the bitter scale, as well. Give me a Prima or Pikeland, please.
