Commercial Description:
Troegs Sunshine Pils is hand-crafted in our small brewery using only malted barley, noble hops and bottom-fermenting yeast. This pilsner delivers a refreshing hop bitterness and a zesty, vibrant finish.

Sampled at Mondial 2006. A very light yellow body with a white head. The aroma was carrots with some celery. Just a hint of sweetness. The taste was slightly sweet with carrots and celery. Green bell peppers in the finish. Not even a good pils.

Pours exactly as the label states, like sunshine: bright and cheery like the summer day on which it waspurchased. Surprisingly large head, huge amount of bubbles are still bursting from the bottom of the glass about 5 minutes post-pour. Aroma has a hint of hops, and a little grass. Taste is quite mild, slightly astringent finish that dries out the mouth, makes the teeth squeaky. Overall a decent pilsner for a decent sunny day.

Bottle. Pours yellow\gold with a dcent sized white head. Aroma of citrus, grassy bitter hops, and pine. Flavor is smooth, sweet, moderately carbonated, citrus, slight bitter hoppy finish. Good body, decent pilsner.

Draft. Generous head stays along time. Very sweet hoppy secent. Taste is very flavorful with a note of citrus and a balanced bitter taste. A pilsner I could drink more than once. Sweet taste lingers long after the drink has finished. Cheers!

Draft Pours a light clear yellow with a good white head. The head was lasting and laced quite well. Has a nice aroma of pine and grains. Has a good hoppiness to it. A great pilsner. Has a good carbination, and a bold flavor which is blended very nicely. A decent aftertaste. I had this at a Phillies game and really enjoyed it.

Pours a clear pale yellowish color with a rocky white head with nice retention. The aroma is mostly yeast with some light malt. The flavor also holds a decent amount of yeast with some light grassy hop bitterness. Thin bodied...a bit watery ...highly carbonated witha bitter/clean finish. Not a bad little session beer...though still a bit watery.

Pours golden yellow with a big white foamy head. Aroma got me psyched for what I was hoping was a tasty pilsener, but I was kind of let down up on tasting it. That trademark pilsener hoppiness was severly lacking and was covered up by too much citrus and weird spiciness. I may be biased against this bc I’ve only been drinking Pilsner Urquell and Prima Pils recently, but I have to say I’m not a big fan of this beer.

Good stuff. It’s a very light yellow pils, hence the name sunshine. Very subtle flavor with a little bitter bite of hops and malt at the end. The citrusy flavors make it a nice summer selection.
