Beerdedone (1873), Croydon, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 24, 2006 Bottle. Poured pale golden with a decent sized white head. Aroma of hops and sweet malts. The flavor reflects its aroma, good body, decent brew. kingfiogojr (78), Baltimore, Maryland, USA Apr 22, 2006 Very good summer beer. A good balance of thinness, malt and hop. I’m a fan of Troegs’ Nugget Nectar and Hopback, and this one definetely has some of the hop flavor, but very subtle. No overpowering. It’s complimented nicely by the malt that occurs as well. Good body too. Definetely reccomend for a hot day at the beach. SynergyXJ (506), Blacksburg, Virginia, USA Apr 20, 2006 Almost clear color with white head. Aroma was nothing special, smells like a light beer. Hoppy flavor with a light/medium body and slight crisp. dirtyc (173), Erie, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 20, 2006 This one is very hoppy, crisp sunshine taste to it... great german style pilsner to relax to warrior (213), Mt. Wolf, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 13, 2006 Beer is a crystal clear light golden color with a decent size white head. Foam clings to the glass better than I thought it would. A nice german style hop aroma with a hint of malt at the end. A good hop flavor and bitterness with some biscut type malt flavors after the hop. Beer has a nice clean and crisp slightly dry and bitter finish to it. An excellent example of a good german style pils. I’ll be drinking quite of few of these this summer. Callahan09 (7), USA does not count Apr 13, 2006 It’s a great beer! (He agrees). I sense some kind of Mexicano with fruity lime and other citrus. I like the aroma, especially. It looks golden, but has a heavy long-lasting flavor. LockyVT (5), Hershey, Pennsylvania, USA does not count Apr 5, 2006 This brew has a nice hop and herb aroma to it. it pours to a nice golden color with a thick white head. The beer light to medium bodied. it has a nice crisp flavor, a little hoppy but very smooth. TheBeerLover (1019), DC Metro Area, USA Jan 25, 2006 Troegs Sunshine Pils pours to a beautiful, bright,
pale golden color with a dense white head, and a
lively amount of carbonation. The nose on this beer is
fantastic with very zesty, vibrant herbal, "fresh cut
grass" hop aromas, paired with some crisp pilsner malt
aroma as well. The palate is firm, with lots of good
crisp pilsner malt flavors on the tongue. The body is
very round and smooth, making this beer very drikable.
Sunshine Pils finishs crisp and malty up front, then
ends with a very zesty, vibrant herbal/grassy hop bite
that slightly lingers.
This is an nice example of Pils, from a really
great PA micro.
