Easy drinking. My first thought was that this was not a pils, and i guess I still feel that the citrus hop flavor is out of place in a pils. Nicely hopped, nicely malted, sort of a hybrid between an American IPA and a lager. Easy to drink, interesting, and well made. Not great, sort of a solid barbeque beer.

Pale yellow pils with a good white head. Czech hops in aroma. Wonderfully hopped pils with good malt base. Medium bodied. Quaffable. Mondiale 2005.

Distinctly hoppy, with strong citrus and grassy notes, there’s no denying the appropriateness of the name.

bottle-again, thankls to hopdog for hooking me up with this fine example of an american pils. pours golden yellow with a small soapy white head. A fairly citric aroma with some sweet yeast twang. nice leafy/grassy/green hop aromas. Flavors are pretty hoppy, light citrus, some nice malt sweetness, and a grassy finish. the palate is full for the style, refreshing, delicate and well rounded. some nice lemony citric tones in the finish and even a light lime tone. All in all , this is a fine pils and i like the american twist to this style. This would be an everyday drinker for me if i had access. Better than prima pils and maybe better than sierra blanca pils in some ways. One of my top pils.

This beer poured with three fingers off almost white head and had good lacing. There was a slight hoppy taste along with a citrus taste. This is my second favorite pils next to Victorys Prima Pils.

Bottle. Hazey golden pour with a white head. Hangs out for a while and there is some lacing. Aroma is bready, yeasty. Taste is hoppy, citrusy and it’s nice and crisp on the tongue. I’d drink this any time....it’d make a nice session choice.

(12 oz bottle: Obtained in trade with hopdog, thanks Steve!) Sunshine Pils is aptly named because this does look like liquid sunshine in the glass. It’s a light golden in color, and with the significant haze, the translucence makes the beer look brighter. And the creamy, white cap atop the beer shows solid retention, maintaining a thin layer for the session, and it leaves a fancy-looking foamy ring around the top of the glass. The beer smells bright, citrusy and hoppy, with a mild grain aroma getting some time as well. Flavorwise, the moderately bitter and citrusy hops is the first (and last) thing I notice when I take a sip. In the background, a minimally sweet and lightly grainy maltiness tries to set a nice base, but hops tends to dominate from start to finish. And speaking of finish, this light-bodied beer is clean throughout, and finishes very crisply. Truth in advertising here. This is indeed a crisp, hoppy pilsener, and while it’s not my favorite style of beer and not even my favorite style of pilsener, drinking this beer has been a pleasant experience.

12 oz bottle. Great looking clear, gold pour into a tulip and holds it’s big bubbled white, head nicely. Aroma is a nice, rich dough with flour and spent grains. Hoppy right away, bitter actually. Lots of grains in a nice mouthful. I cant believe I’m saying this but it’s too hoppy. Wtf kinda HopHead am I? Good stuff though.
