lightly lemony citric fruity but bitter and grassy and moldy and herbal tasting. Grassy aroma, golden colour and bit of head. Sweetness, light bodied.

From a growler picked up from the brewery April 9th, the first week Troeg’s started filling growlers... Pours a crystal clear pale gold with a thick snow-white head. Smell is grassy malt, fresh mowed grass, some light citrus and just a hint of bitter hops. Not very bitter, in fact I had expected just a bit more of a hop bite from this pilsener. No matter, it is crisp and tastes of light grassy malt. Better malt profile than you would expect. Grapefruit and lightly fruity in the finish. Not too fizzy. Well balanced. A great job on a style that is pretty easy to screw up.

Poured a medium, clear golden color with an averaged sized white head. Aromas of citrus (lemons), grasses and some spices. Tastes of the same. Lightly sweet. Thin and slightly watery body. Pilsners aren’t my favorite style, but this one wasn’t bad.

When I went into the beer market, this beer had a 90 something rating from rate beer. I see it’s since come down to earth because when I tasted this beer, it absolutely stunk. I don’t know why I attempted to buy a pilsener. They’re all kind of sucky. This one not withstanding. Smelled OK, looked ok, but the head quickly deteriorated and left what the beer really is. Not good! Time to go back to the tried and true brown ales and beers that are crafted with hops in mind for that is where true taste lies.

This is a great beer to slam after mowing the lawn. Pours a nice pale gold. Aroma is of straw lemon. Slightly hoppy with a nice clean finish. Not too much going on but hits the spot on a sunny summer day.

Bottle. Clear yellow color. Thin white head. Very crisp taste. Not much hoppyness but a good flavor and finish

Really drinkable pilsner. A bit different from Prima Pils, a bit sweeter--less German style. Really good, criisp, mouthwatering beer. Great structure on the finish. Alot of pilsners fall short here. This has become one of my favorite everyday beers. A real baseball pounder!!!!

New batch just released in MD. Crystal clear sparkling gold, creamy white head. Looked awesome in the tall footed pilsner glass. Soft nose of spicy German hops, some fruitiness and grassiness, with a touch of bread. Perfect balance here with the hops getting a light malt sweetness to back them up. Light bodied, prickly carbonation, dry, lightly hopped, grassy finish. Nice lawnmower brew for sure...
