Troegs Sunshine Pils is hand-crafted in our small brewery using only malted barley, noble hops and bottom-fermenting yeast. This pilsner delivers a refreshing hop bitterness and a zesty, vibrant finish.

Transfer from BA review on 7-14-13- Poured from bottle into a pint glass Appearance – Pours a light golden-yellow color with a big fizzy white head of 3 fingers. The head fades relatively quickly initially but slows in its receding as it gets smaller. After about 5 min. it is nearly completely gone leaving only a trace of lace on the sides of the glass. Smell- The aroma is a combination of a grainy and bready smell mixed with a lemon citrus. With these aromas is a light sweetness of a grape and some pear. There are also some light grassy and herbal hop smells giving it a clean aroma overall. Taste – The taste begins with a bready and malty taste that has a small amount of orange sweetness. The sweetness is light and fades fast producing a crisper taste overall. The drying of the taste is joined by some lemon in the middle and some grassy flavors more toward the end. At the finish there is a dry and crisp lightly hoped and clean taste left on the tongue. Mouthfeel-The body of the beer is very light and thin with a carbonation level that is slightly above normal. Both are good for the style and make for a refreshing feel overall. Overall-Crisp, refreshing, light and very easy drinking. This is a great summer day brew.

Poured from 12oz bottle, pours a clear dark bubbly yellow with a white head and lacing in the glass, aroma has some grass and lemon on the nose, flavor has a grassy front end with a finish that isn’t all that pleasant, kind of muddled, meh.

12oz can from Pinocchio’s. Pours a clear, bright yellow, with a white head and some lacing. Aroma is hoppy, grassy, hay, corn. Medium on the palate with average carbonation. Flavor is sweet, malty, bready, some grass, some pine, with a crisp, bitter finish. A nice summer beer.

On tap at Skewed Brewing. White gold with a small white head. I get the pilsner malt in the nose, but no noble hops. And there is an odd, sweet citrus note. Almost like a wit. It’s there in the flavour as well. The finish doesn’t have the typical dryness. Nice beer, but an odd pilsner.

Clear straw with a big foamy head. Aroma sweet and bready, hint of flower hops. Taste clean and bready, with a hint of bitterness. Just a simple enjoyable pils

Pours clear yellow with a small soapy white head. Smells crisp, lightly spicy, hints of grain. Taste is clean, light bitterness, hint of earthiness. Light-bodied with a wet texture and average mouth-carbonation, Tröegs Sunshine Pils finishes with a crisp cleanness.

12oz can. Wow, can’t believe that I haven’t raked this one before. Pours a very pale straw color with a larger pure white head that lasts. Aromas of citrus and skunky (noble) type hops. Taste is semi dry and very lightly bitter. Not a huge amount of hops used here. Very fittingly classified as a pils, as anything more would be a stretch. Kind of creamy, kind of spritzey but no adjuncts detected. High carb, low boost, low hops. What the fuck do you expect. A drinkable beer that is best suited for duct taping a 12 pack to your riding lawn mower at 8am and just cutting the grass with reckless abandon.

12oz can poured into a shaker glass. Clear hay with a small but steady white head. Clean floral nose, with herbal notes and light malt. Pleasant malt flavors, medium bitterness, faint sweetness, pretty clean. Light and refreshing, dry enough, cool.
