Troegs Sunshine Pils is hand-crafted in our small brewery using only malted barley, noble hops and bottom-fermenting yeast. This pilsner delivers a refreshing hop bitterness and a zesty, vibrant finish.

Reviewed from notes. I poured this into a pilsener glass. The appearance was a nice golden clear yellow color with a one and a half finger white foamy head that must have maintained itself for a good full one and a half minutes before it started to slightly die at a decent pace. The smell had the German pilsner malts coming through hard up front and then gently allowing a nice light spiciness coming through as it warmed a bit. The taste was sweet and let the light spiciness come back again. There was no aftertaste. On the palate, it sat pretty light and had a great sessionable quality running about it. The carbonation is there but not overbearing. Overall, this is just another great beer made by an exceptional brewery. It makes me want to move back to Pennsylvania.

Poured from a tap. Sparkling yellow color, good frothy white head. Moderate yeast and dough aroma. Light to medium body with a sweet and bitter flavor. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A light doughy aroma, small white head, the dissipates quickly. An acidic flavor of malt, slightly bitter. A light dry palate.

simple, clean pilsner - all ingredients at the forefront - a little grass/hay, yeast/bread, some woodiness - light all around but each clean and identifiable - flavor straight forward as aroma with a slight sourdough tang, grass, and dry honeycomb - hops are a bit stemmy and bitter - would prefer some more floral/citrus dimension - but overall light and simple with good traditional ingredients

On draft. A pale golden color. Grainy and grassy aroma. Very slight hint of grapefruit and overwhelmingly grassy taste. Solid Pils .

12 oz. bottle. Pours a clear gold color with a thick white head that eventually settles to a film leaving some nice lacing. Aroma is citrusy hops, bread, some grassy notes and just a touch of sourness. Surprisingly medium body which deceives the color. Taste is malt with the hops nicely backing it up. Clean finish. Great beer for a hot day mowing the lawn.

UPDATED: JUL 19, 2014 A very pale yellow. A light beer but with noticable complexity. A sweet, light malt scent. Loses its flavor when it warms. Zesty, lemon. Awful in a can.

Bottle into a pilsner glass. Pour is a light yellow. Aroma is of spring grass and bitter citrus. Taste is a wash of light malt and crisp bitterness. Finish is a rounded bitter. Very good pilsner.

Pours straw yellow. Nice two finger head with decent lacing. Aroma is bready with grass/floral notes. Medium body, lightly carbonated. Tastes of bread, hay and grassy hop bitterness which finishes crisp and earthy. A great example of the style.
