3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottled 4/23/12 pours straw yellow with thick white head, good retention, and lots of visible carbonation. Pleasing cracker malt nose mixed with grass and noble hop. Bitterness cuts the mouth but is pleasantly washed away with cracker sweetness. Not an over the top pils but enjoyable none the less.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a very light straw color with a one finger white head.
A touch of lemon and citrus hops with a nice bready sweet aroma.
Starts out with a small citrusy hop burst, rounding into a sweet slightly tart cracker malt. Finishes with an earthy lingering hop bitterness.
Mouthfeel and carbonation are good for the style.
One of my favorites of the style. Another very good example of an underrated style by Troegs.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pour is a hazy yellow with a large white head. Aroma is grainy and bitter. Flavor is a very nice dry pils malt with a spice hop to round things out. Finish leaves some of that cracker malt on the tongue after the swallow. Good pils.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pale whute gold with a big, clinging, lingering white head. Smells like bread, tastes of pale malt and grassy hop. Clean and not too bitter. This is good for a pilsner, but I’m not a pilsner fan.

Draft at Churchkey. A decent enough example of the style, clan and crisp, and not too bitter.

bread like aroma. pours very light color yellow. Long lasting white head saves the appearance score. this lager that doesn’t have that skunky taste. I could actually drink this once in while.

Growler from Brewery. Thought for sure I rated this one before! This years sunshine pils seems a bit more bitter than in years past - a good thing. A slightly sour taste. One of the best pilsners out there, but I still like Victory Prima and the southhampton keller pils better. Still, not a bad pilsner.
