Oakes (8058), gone rambling, Vietnam May 9, 2003 Golden colour. Fruity, berryish aroma. Crisp palate reminding of crab apples. argo0 (6861), Washington DC, USA Jul 24, 2002 Golden with white head that provides nice lacing as it dissipates. Mild sweet hoppy aroma, slightly lemony. Taste is mildly bitter with little distinctiveness, until the swallow, when it turns moderately bitter, and lingers. Rastacouere (5552), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Jun 6, 2005 Clear lightly carbonated golden. Gentle cover of white foam lasts on top of the beer. Highly floral hops hugs bright grainy, toasty malt. Faint diacetyl notes are a good match to the tea-like herbal undertones, reminiscent of dandelions and lemon. Grassy, floral and citrusy palate. Cuts short with a firm bite of bitterness that refreshes the palate a lot. Intense dry lemon character. Smooth palate, but perhaps a touch too little carbonation. Medium bodied. Good. hopdog (5534), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 26, 2005 Poured a medium, clear golden color with an averaged sized white head. Aromas of citrus (lemons), grasses and some spices. Tastes of the same. Lightly sweet. Thin and slightly watery body. Pilsners aren’t my favorite style, but this one wasn’t bad. hopscotch (5441), Vero Beach, Florida, USA May 17, 2003 Sparkling clear yellow hue. Very small, white, fizzy head. Quickly diminishing with no lacing.
The aroma is lightly malty with floral and citrus notes.
The flavor is barely malty with a small butterscotch presence up front and a moderately bitter, lightly pungent and citrusy presence on the backside. Medium-bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and lively carbonation. Long, bitter, dry finish. bu11zeye (5430), Frisco, Texas, USA Jun 25, 2008 (Bottle, courtesy of Swalden 28) Pours a clear yellow body with a small white head. Aroma of soap, lemon grass, and grain. Flavor of mild hops (grass/floral, light lemon), toasted grain, and soapiness. CaptainCougar (5379), Rockville, Maryland, USA Jul 12, 2006 Pours a transparent pale golden with a frothy, and nicely-lacing white head. Aroma of grainy pale malts and some noble hops with a hint of maize. Starts fairly light in body with a mild malty sweetness and turning more earthy, dry and floral saaz hoppy bitter toward a crisp finish. Fairly true to style, but nothing too interesting.
