| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Jun 12, 2004 Pale yellow. Sticky, fluffy white head. Zesty hop nose with hints of fresh flowers, perfume, lemon zest, and straw. Scarce, yet sharp, malt presence and slightlty airy underneath. Round body with soft carbonation. Becomes pillowy-fluffy as it breathes. Flavorful balance of sweet pale malt hulls and grassy hops. Feathery malt layers fade into the background as the candied lemon sweetness, honeydew, and juicy hops gather steam and balance the malt sweetness. Hops lose their snappiness but retain their juicy, round, complexity and take on more of a soft bushy earhiness. Finishes moist and less snappy than when it started, yet with lasting lemon zest bitterness and a touch of sweet malts. Extensive dry-hopping yields tasty hop belches. Every aspect of this is remarkably polished. One of the most elegant Pilsners out there. PhillyBeer2112 (2097), Orange Park, Florida, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jan 10, 2004 Cloudy yellowish straw color, medium white head. Yeasty lemony and herbal aroma. Wonderful! Almost looks and spells like a witbier actually. No matter. I could sniff this all day. Lemony flavor, clean light palate. Spicy hop finish. Interesting and zesty. Nice one. vyvvy (2069), Hazelwood, Missouri, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 2, 2006 I was hoping for more with this pils. Pours pale yellow with a large sudsy / soapy white head. The aroma is clean sweet pale malt. Medium / light body with a moderate amount of sharp carbonation. Starts with very grainy malt with a touch of sourness (light skunk) that is probably from light damage. The finish has spicy / grassy / woody hops with a nice touch of earthy harshness - still some sourness though. Well done easy drinking pils, without the sour qualities this would have been great for the style. cheapdark (2053), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 1/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Apr 25, 2007 12 oz brown bottle for $2. Big whiff of yeasty rising uncooked bread dough. Otherwise a pretty clean aroma. Ubiquitous pale yellow american lager beer color. Perhaps it is a little more bright lemony colored. Thin foamy white froth for a head. Some unexpected bitter bite, but what was I expecting for a pils? Industrial to an extent. Odd plastic back of throat feeling on the finishes. Interesting bitterness but I don’t think I’d call it hops. Good carbonation, with a bit of tingle on the back of the tongue. Overall a decent brew, but I was expecting something more and different. Bavik Premium Pils is much better than this. FROTHINGSLOSH (2047), GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA

The aroma was faint pale malts and a hint of floral hops. The flavor was crisp and dry with a light floral and fruity hop presence. Indra (2041), Prairie Village, Kansas, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 19, 2004 Fruity, spicy hop aroma, fresh, lemony and slightly minty with some lightly buttery, pale, doughy, sweet maltiness underneath. Light golden color, slightly cloudy, with a white, creamy, lasting head and copious amounts of lacing. Hoppy, leafy, citric and moderately bitter throughout, with a twinge of sweetness emerging late. Very juicy and refreshing, plenty of hop resins here. Body is light-medium, mouthfeel is appropriately effervescent for the style. Quite summery and drinkable, appealing flavor profile. Excellent Pils. Cheers, Bill! cbkschubert (2031), Cochise Co., Arizona, USA
