Aroma of grainy pale malts and some noble hops with a hint of maize. Starts fairly light in body with a mild malty sweetness and turning more earthy, dry and floral saaz hoppy bitter toward a crisp finish. Fairly true to style, but nothing too interesting.

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 2, 2005 The Lure: Herbal hoppiness and light straw combine for an interestingly attractive aroma. If it weren’t filtered, this would probably be much more of a countryside.
The Festivities: Citrus drops over crushed grain. Lingering grassy hoppiness dominates the German-like pils malts. Simple and well-done, an aptly named pils.
Transcendence: Sunflower fields are fun to watch. Cletus (5061), Connecticut, USA

Smells of dry malt, some floral hints. Tastes dry and lightly bitter with a grassy finish. JoeMcPhee (5056), Jackson Heights, New York, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 25, 2008 Very pale golden/straw colour brew with a thick white head. Aroma is quite light but with a bright grassy hoppiness. Fairly assertive, floral bitterness over a lean but crisp pilsener malt base. Lightly grassy and a little bit minerally. It’s a pretty solid pils. ¾ (5012), Boulder, Colorado, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 25, 2006 Bottle. Very light yellow color to the body, and clear, not that great of a color, but the head is properly formed, fluffy and white. Light grassy lemon and wheat and hay in the nose. Very crisp up front on the tongue, promising, I would say, but the flavor, when I’m expecting something sweet and crisp and lively, is more of a butane and fuesal sort of flavor. Finish is better, though, with a nice but mild crispness and a light dryness. JPDIPSO (4944), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA

Smells similar, but in a plain lager way. Fell is thin and flavors start to get watery. Now a cross between a german pils and any of many pale lagers. Bright straw color with a thick dense head of ultra white bubbles. Light sweet malt coupled with a lightly floral/herbal noble hops nose. Perhaps a touch too sweet. Nice sweet malt profile up front. Lightly thin in the middle. Bitterness comes in the finish to keep things in czech. Hint of alcohol and pale malt in the linger. A refreshing brew. A cross between a classic german pils and an pre pro lager. Thanks DocLock. Tmoney99 (4807), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA

Poured clear pale color with an average white frothy head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Good citrus hoppy aroma. Medium body. Good well balanced hoppy flavor with a moderate smooth balanced bitter finish of moderate duration.
Good drinkable beer. DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 9, 2004 Just tried the new 2004 vintage at the Beer Yard Troegs tasting in Wayne, PA. Very deep canary-yellow color, with medium head. Good aroma of citrus, hops, and slight yeast. This one is much hoppier than most pilsens, and finishes suoer smooth, crisp, hoppy, and citrusy. Hall of Famer. Right up there with Victory Prima pils and Lancaster pils as far as I'm concerned.
