3.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours an orange amber color with almost no head, a tiny white lacing that fades almost instantly. Tons of hops floating around, which seems to make this unfiltered. Aroma is a combination of sour cherries, honey and a hint of banana. Taste is much the same as the aroma. Sour cherries, honey, banana and malts are present in the taste. Taste almost like a red wine. For 11% the alcohol is very well masked. Good product by Troegs, although rather on the expensive side.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours ruby red with a small, quickly fading off-white head. The aroma is cherry, banana, clove and a touch of honey. Smells like belguim yeast to me. The flavor is very fruity with lots of spice, totally hides the 11%.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours orange/amber, with a small, white head. Aromas are spices, cherries, and some yeast. Flavors are spice, cherries, fruit, and a bit of honey. Goes down easy for being 11%.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Seasonal, light cherry aroma, sweet, hint of chocalate, moderate malt, medium body, finishes light bitter, alcohol heavy, 50$ per case, we’ve had a few that were slightly skunked. quality control? Nice looking, nice smelling, nice tasting, too expensive to drink regularly, and you can’t get it year-round.
Re-rate. We emailed Troegs about the skunked beers and they are going to replace the entire case for us. Can’t say enough nice things about the company.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Okay the color of the picture threw me off. A nice brown/amber color. Smells of bananas. A nice malty flavor with a hint of cherry.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Amber pour with little head. Variety of aromas and thin bodied. I found the after taste not to my liking, but it does linger with you for some time

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from 2005. Amber color with very little head. Smell had cherry, chocolate, honey and Belgian yeast. There were certainly elements of a tripel in the taste. Mouthfeel had a lot of cherry and was extremely smooth. The alcohol is hidden so well. Nice brew.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle courtesy of goldtwins. From 2004, I believe. A hazy amber pour with a fizzy, small light-tan head. Crisp aroma of honey, cherries, candied sugar, alcohol and some wheatiness. Thin-bodied. A sweet honey body with some sour lemons and tangy cherries around the edges. A big warming alcohol finish. Hints of spices. A little medicinal and cough syrupy without the thick, syrupy body.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bonus from goldtwins
Pours an almost still reddish copper color. Tons of honey aromas. Sweet with cherry and honey flavors. Just a bit of toffee as well. Alcohol is present but really makes itself known in the aftertaste. I’d love to try a two year old bottle of this.
