Totally unimpressive 2 bottles shared with a friend poured, out flat no head no carbonation, taste is sweet cherrie bubblegum what a letdown too much of a hype beer much like all the other hype beers gets good ratings but its because of the hype

Keg @ Johnny Brenda’s. Deep Amber with a small head. Nose is caramelized apples, fruity esters. Spice. Grain. Hot booziness. Similar flavors. Sliced apples, rich toffee. Hot finish.

so shocked that i have not reviewed this before. Its the epitome of the holidays especially in PA. the beers Belgian spiciness jumps out of the bottle once opened. the head never seems to hold up in this ruby amber colored ale. the aromatics are strongly spice driven with a beautiful sweetness from the malt and i am sure the honey. i believe the cherry notes come through as well but seem to back up the malt profile. big bright clean malt character with a zesty spiciness that melds with the med/high carbonation. the alcohol is well apparent but most often well deserved fighting the cold winter months away. at times a slight vanilla note will show up. This is certainly a beer i will always keep in the fridge during the holidays.

Pours a nice dark amber color, with small head, carbonation seems fairly low. Smell is a very nice cherry and honey smell. Taste is sweet, in my opinion a little too sweet. Small hints of cherry and I found a warming alcohol finish. Not a bad beer, just not really my style. I had from a bottle.

A delicious beer. Amazing taste. Would not know that it was 11% alcohol. My wife and I actually detected a taste of bourbon. Good stuff! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Attractive garnet red pour. Sweet and fruity, would benefit from a touch of bitter/sour/funk for balance.

dark amber color; fruity aroma; a great, deceptively smooth (11%) ale brewed with honey and cherries; medium bodied, semi sweet malt with notes of cherries; a great winter ale

UPDATED: JAN 8, 2015 Reddish color. Mild aroma. Sweet with subtle fruit and spice. Finishes boozy and warming. High alcohol is deceptively hidden.
