3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
This is the first Holiday beer I have had this year. The cherries are very strong and remind me of a lambic upon first taste, but he taste slowly rolls to the back of the tongue and a slight honey and earthy taste come forward. This is good but looking for better Christmas beers.

Some cherry in the aroma and a reddish tint. Sweet with a little pepper/clove through the middle. Finish is spicy Belgian yeast. Well hidden alcohol for 11%. Reasonably festive.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Aroma of cherries, honey and spice. Appearence is red and festive. Taste is aweet with fruity notes. First sip is a mix of honey cherry sweet malty goodness. There’s a nice spiciness that’s running through here too, perhaps some nutmeg. Very drinkable, as people who don’t typically like beer fancied this brew.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
11% Bottle from a trade with GenDV138 - thanks buddy! A reddish-amber pour with a foamy beige head but not as red as I expected actually. The nose is somewhat weizen like in that I get a big banana bread & cloves, some cherry and honey as well but I think I need to let this warm up a bit. Nice fairly full bodied beer with a raspy carbonation and a hearty dose of warmth spreading down my throat to my belly. As it warms you definitely get a belgian yeast character from it with plums, spices, breadiness, cinnamon comes through, cherries, a fairly prominent booziness, banana bread. As it warms up it continues to reveal new nuances and layers. I think the booziness is a bit much I’d probably enjoy it more in the 8-9% range but I’d definitely have this again.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Nice red color. Can taste the alcohol but does a nice job of a blending most into the beer for how high the % is.

Strong aroma & appearance. The taste is medicinal. This beer went flat quickly. Low hops. The chocolate was undetectable.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottled. Pours a beautiful red cherry color, small white effervescent head. Aroma is tons of cherry. As soon as you open the bottle you can smell it. Lots of esters, dark fruits, little bit of honey sweetness. Almost too sweet smelling. Flavor is lots of cherry, honey, sweet flavors. Like a really intense Belgian style dubbel but without the Belgian yeast and spices. Mouthfeel is unremarkable. A good beer (its well done and high quality) but it’s sweet. Just not my cup of tea (or bottle of beer).
