12oz Bottle. The pour was a clear ruby red with a small (less than 1 finger) white fizzy head that dissipated rapidly, down to a small collar with a wisp of residue left floating on top and poor runny lacing. The aroma was upfront with a nice cherry scent along with a light bread malt and a sweet yeast and had notes of honey, cinnamon, a bit of spice and a little more than mild alcohol tinge. The taste was fruity sweet and a very lightly malty with a touch of cherry and honey throughout, with the finish becoming rather yeasty with a hint of cinnamon and a slight spicy alcohol ending. The flavor lasted a decently long time following the swallow, having a nice yeasty and fruity cherry taste along with a mild alcohol warming sensation left behind. Mouthfeel was a few shades above light in body and dry in texture with an almost prickly carbonation. Overall I found this brew to be exceptionally tasty with a good fruity flavor that was blended very well with the yeast and spices, allowing for a very good concealing of the exceptionally high ABV thus creating a superb drinkability. I do believe this is the best Winter Seasonal I have tasted to date, and I want more…

Pour reddish amber with a one finger off white head with pretty nice lacing. Aroma is of cherries, plums, chocolate, spices, honey, caramel, toffee, sweet malts, and some light booze. Taste is about the same as the aroma with the addition of some light medicinal notes. Has a medium-full body with a semi creamy mouthfeel and a very sweet, slightly boozy, medium-long finish. Overall, a decent holiday ale that is a little too sweet for my tastes.

Poured deed red/ruby color. Aroma of dank belgian yeast. Belgian yeast flavor dominated for me. enjoyable and easy to drink despite the high abv.

Pours a brilliant dark red with a lasting lacy head into a wine glass from bottle. Aroma is very strong cherry and honey. Taste is very biting in its dark cherry flavor. Also a nice bit of sweetness. Thin and intense carbonation. This beer is really great in short bursts.

Rousse. Beau collet. Ronde. Assez sucré. Goût prononcé de cerise. Mielleuse. Florale. Bonbon sûre. Réglisse rouge (bonbon). Banane. Rootbeer. Très bien.

Beer has a weak aroma to it, tastes like a bowl full of cherries. deceptively smooth for the ABV - 11%. Not my usual style of beer, but this is the best Holiday Ale I’ve had. Would have to imagine 3-4 of these would kick one’s arse, can’t wait to find out. Happy Holidays!

It pours amber with a tan head. It has an aroma of cherries, yeast, spices, and fruit. The fruit with the cherries being significant and spices were evident on the initial taste with chocolate and spices coming after. The spices and a moderate bitter bite is present on the way down.

Pours a very nice reddish amber color. It has no lacing or head retention, but that can be attributed to the high abv. A tasty beer and the first of a mad elf flight spanning the past 4 years. God help me.

12oz bottle from Brewmaster’s in Wilson. Reddish hue, good clarity with fully diminishing white head. No lacing. Aroma of booze, cherry, citrus hop, dark fruit, malt and candy. Spice and citrus hop taste up front with a watery spice finish. As the beer warms it finishes with more of a floral taste.

Some cherry in the aroma and a reddish tint. Sweet with a little pepper/clove through the middle. Finish is spicy Belgian yeast. Well hidden alcohol for 11%. Reasonably festive.
