Commercial Description:
For periods of fasting without solid foods, Monastic brewers relied on the double bock; a stronger, richer beer to fulfill their basic nutritional needs. Known to them as "liquid bread", a double bock has a strong malt aroma and chewy rich body. In the spirited tradition of naming a double bock in the suffix "ator," we give you Troegenator to provide warmth and richness through the early spring months.

12oz bottle-This beer poured out a brown-amber with a thin tan head. The aroma is of malt and caramel, which are also reflected in the taste. There is also some coffee and chocolate in this medium bodied beer. The finish is just a slight bitter.Pretty Good.

Copper with minimal head. Syrupy sweet alcohol aroma. Delicate caramel alcohol flavour makes for a pleasant drink.

I would classify this one as a strong par beer. There are some highs with, of course, the malt and sweetness, however, there seems to be something missing in the body. A little watery maybe? Clear alcohol presence, too.

Pours a deep amber brown with a pleasing aroma. Decent, slightly off-white head that diminishes rather rapidly but with good lacing. A fairly sweet caramel taste followed by malt. Dry finish. Recommended.

In the bottle. Pours dark amber with a yellowish off-white medium-sized head. The aroma is of a strong vegetable/squash scent, but also a strong caramel. It has a thick palate. Flavor is corn syrup sweet and mostly has a great big caramel taste. This is clearly a lager, but makes you think that it might not be fully attenuated, as it is so very sweet.

12oz. Bottle: Aroma of black cherry, brown sugar, wheat bread, and caramel malts. Poured dark amber/copper in color with a big, creamy khaki-orange head that lasted. Clear. Very good lacing. Flavor is very sweet and malty with a slightly spicy twinge. Also tastes of alcohol and burbon. Heavily sweet. Not bitter at all. Full body. Average carbonation. A little thick. Long, alcohol flavored finished.

Deep amber color not quit copper, nice foamy head. Aroma is fresh bread with notes of sweet malt. Heavy, thick feeling, feels like a milk mustache. Gentle bitterness makes way for slightly warming malt flavored beverage. Dry bitter finish.
