Sep 7, 2007 Pours a nice deep red hued brown with a tanner head that stays around for a short bit. Nose is Like wet woodwith some sugar mixed in. Nice, full, and robust. Flavor is mildly sugar with a smooth wood tone. A thinner molasses seems to kick in on the back end. Good liquid body and a smooth and silky carbonation. Extremely drinkable, even with a higher ABV. Another damn good brew from Troegs.

Feb 1, 2004 Updated: Dec 21, 2005Cloudy yet attractive reddish color. Kiwi, strawberry and frsh bread (yeast) nose.One of the best feeling beers I’ve had. Well Balanced hops ans sweet light malts make this beer another winner.

Apr 7, 2006 Mmmhmm, very good beer. Sweet flavor, almost reminded me of apple juice. Malty and delish, give this one a try. Gotta get out to Harrisburg to visit this place.

Dec 18, 2006 caramel, malty aroma. Pours a copper brown, thin head. Chocolate, sweetness. nice caramel flavours come through. Enjoyable.

Oct 22, 2007 I’m not the biggest fan of this style (or bock beers in general), but I found this one to be very pleasant, and I’d recommend it.
This beer poured a dull but clear orange-copper color that was quite bright. The beer had a nice head of medium sized bubbles that stuck around for quite awhile. Aroma was malty and cereal-y. Flavor was not overly sweet and cereal-y (what I don’t like about bock beers!) but was lightly caramel-y and also had some sour notes and abundant maltiness. Mouthfeel was rich but not over-the-top thick. I really enjoyed it.

Oct 18, 2005 Appears a light brown with an off white head. Lots and lots of sticky lacing.
Smell is malty, syrupy, raisins, and toffee.
The taste is of the same decent aromas mixed around in a decent take on the style.
Mouthfeel is slightly fizzy and full bodied.
Drinkability is decent. A nice regional doppelbock.
