4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Troegs is an excellent brewery. Troegenator is malty and bready in flavor with a knock out punch. Could easily pass for a German doppelbock.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured from a can. Pours a clear medium dark mahogany with a large off-white head of foam. Semi-sweet toffee aroma. Minimal carbonation. Light to medium texture. Very smooth. Flavors of caramel and toffee. Not too sweet and they don’t last very long. Smooth finish. Flavors could have been bolder. OK but not great.

Troeganator is a special brew. It pours a beautiful dark amber color with a nice small head. I don't detect much by way of scent, which is odd, but this beer is smooth from start to finish. Really, really clean.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a crystal clear dark ruby color with minimal head. Smells like raisins, caramel and brown sugar. Tastes follows the nose but is a little less sweet than I expected from the aroma. The finish is dry and slightly bitter Medium bodied with low carbonation.

Big smells or caramel nut aromas. Deep reddish brown with things tan ring and partial cover of head. Chewy sweet nutty flavor. Stain your mouth with lasting sweet earth grain aftertaste.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle pour into nonic pint glass from Leary’s, Newburyport, MA. Aroma is bready malt with caramel, red wine. Appearance is clear red with nice sparkle, small 1/2 finger-width head with poor retention and trace lacing. Taste is rich sweet malts with caramel, vanilla. Palate is full bodied with thick texture, average carbonation and malty finish with just a splash of bitterness and mild warmth in the esophagus and stomach. Overall, good representative of the style and very good.

Found 5 his bottle in the back of my fridge from a spring time trip south. Cloudy brown pour. Bready malty notes with a touch of brown sugar and some florality as well. Somewhat sweet tasting as warming to the palate but lingering finish. Very good beer.

Pours a clea amber with minimal lacing and small heard. Aroma of stone fruit, sweet, bready, chewy palate. malty. minimal hop flavor. not overly cloying. Moderate to heavy mouthfeel. medium very sweet finish. not my favorite style, but good to drink nonetheless.
