Commercial Description:
For periods of fasting without solid foods, Monastic brewers relied on the double bock; a stronger, richer beer to fulfill their basic nutritional needs. Known to them as "liquid bread", a double bock has a strong malt aroma and chewy rich body. In the spirited tradition of naming a double bock in the suffix "ator," we give you Troegenator to provide warmth and richness through the early spring months.

bottle, nice deep brownish red color... a very subtle and sweet arome with a brown sugar/caramel scent that compliments the flavor.. sweet with a slight hint of bitterness on the tongue... a very pleasant and flavorful beer

Pours a mahogany brown with red highlights and thin egg-shell head. Aroma of plum, raisin, and smoke. Flavor has a hint of alcohol, cherries, very sweet. Very nice indeed. Awesome label.

This was a very enjoyable finish to a long day. Sweet rich and satisfying. I am definitely going back to the store for more from the troegs brewery.

If you like doublebocks then you will enjoy this beer. It is very easy to drink for a beer over 8%.

Medium amber/red color with slight white head. Very malty and relatively smooth. Full bodied- with lots of sweetness, and the alcohol gave it a nice kick yet it is hard to detect in the taste.

Its a full body beer. Really liked it. Nice dark color. A malty bock with nice head retention.

Very good brew, pours a nice copper color with a good sized white head. Nice mouth filling feeling, goes down smooth but well carbonated.

This is my Favorite Brew. If you like a nice Double Bock, this beer is for you! it has a georgous copper/dark bronze color. has a very nice white head, very full bodied and has a nice malty flavor to it. it has a nice carbonation for a double bock and is smoooooth.
