2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle from Binny’s. Has the appearance and aroma of a stout much lighter than any "Imperial" I’ve seen. It’s a lovely medium dark brown with a fine lace. The aroma is earthy, oakey with a slight sharp alcohol tang. Perhaps some fermented berry. The mouth is milkier than the color tells. Old wood in the flavor again with alcohol bite and a little natural whiskey background. It’s ok, but I probably won’t buy it again at the price

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Fast schwarz, kaum Schaum. Meine Nase ist zu, drum nur leichte Röstaromen auszumachen, wenig Schokolade. Mittel Co2, eher leicht, dünn. Röstmalzig und leicht süss, kaum Bittere. Abgang bleibt malzig.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
belle stout, bien de la couleur avec une petite mousse beige. manque de longueur en bouche et assez buvable, pas trop lourde mais quand même pleine en bouche.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
330ml bottle poured in a chalice.
Nice Trois Dames specimen but I was expecting a bit more from an Imperial Stout.
A: Deep caramel color with a medium bubbled beige head when poured. Reasonable retention. Dissipates leaving some lacings around. A thin beige layer remains for some time
S: Sweet and sour (bit orange acid). Roasted malts and plums. Spicy end
T: Sweet upfront. Roasted malts. Plums. Fresh hops. A bit sour. Nice bitterness
M: Medium body and carbonation. No alcohol

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Visual: Pours dark brown with a slight purple hue, small & lasting very creamy head, a bit of lacing, a decent layer of retention, lots and lots of active streams.
Nose: light roasted brown sugar malts, hints of chocolate and coffee. (lvl-6)-pungency
Attack: crisp, incoming acidity
Mid-palate: unexpected sourness, (lvl-4)-sweetness, (MAIN) cola, light roasted bitter malts, lemon-grapefruit citrus acidic-sourness
Finish: soft bitter hops mixed with lingering malty bittersweet sourness.
Summary: Decent flavour but I just can’t fall in love with such a sour stout.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle, at Baran. An almost black one, topped by a dense, dark beige head leaving curtains. Dried fruits, roasted malts, nuts and a touch of chocolate in the aroma. It’s full-bodied and semi-dry on the palate, with a nice carbonation level. Dried fruits and some chocolate in the flavor, roasted, and a bit sweet, with a medium length finish. A decent one, but a bit boring I think. 140906

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Gusher! Pours a very dark brown letting just a little light through, a large tan head that settles but lasts and leaves some bits of lace on the glass. Aroma is roasted malts, chocolate, caramel and some dark dried fruity esters. Flavour is roasted malts, bit sour/tart(lactic acid like), mild chocolate, ashtray and a bit watery.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Clear very dark brown, head cover, and streaks of lace. Taste is sweet caramel malt, light spices and butter rum entering midway through the palate. Slight bittering at the finish, not quite enough to balance. Fair, not really good.
