On tap at The Old Toad. This went well with my Bangers and Mash. (Thanks for the tip Chas) Pours jet black with a little, fine head. Coffee licorice and cocoa in the nose, nice smooth mouthfeel, more coffee and cocoa on the palate, moderate bitterness.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Angenehmes Stout! Danke an Erzengel. 12/10/9/9/10/9

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
(Old BA rate - bottle)
Poured with a really nice lightly tan two fingers worth of foam, but dissipated very quickly with just a toadstool of cover left; deep , dark brown color. Light roastiness; dark fruits (plums); lightly sweet aroma. Roasted qualities are there, but a bit light; some dark chocolate and plummy sweetness. Lightish, and would have like a richer body on it; very prickly carbonation. Not bad drinking at all; not the most representative of the style but a good one

flavors, roasted malts, lingering coffee moutfeel that is rather bubbly.
Light abv but complex and very enjoyable. The finish keeps the same profile with a nice roasted touch of coffee and malts that at times hints at some lingering bitterness.
