COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

pours unclear dark brown with a huge abnormal light beige head, good retention and lacing. roasted malts, caramel, tart cherries and other dark red fruitiness, mostly raisins, oxidated dried grapes, minerals - almost salty, ashy, woodsy, bit of garbage, light acidity - obviously infected. foamy carbonation, light body - weak it is, relatively dry grassy-peppery finish. too bad..

Schöne, tiefschwarze Farbe, röstmalzig-frischer Geruch. Zutaten: Wasser, Gerstenmalz, Hopfenblüten, frische Hefe, Haferflocken.
Bestnoten!! Sehr zu empfehlen!!

330 ml bottle drank at L’Autre Oeil (Gatinea, Quebec) on Feb. 28, 2013. Black, big head. Aroma of oats and barley mixed well, malted fruit notes. Barley fruity taste, slightly sour, good small bitterness. I really liked the fruity sour side!

On tap at The Old Toad. This went well with my Bangers and Mash. (Thanks for the tip Chas) Pours jet black with a little, fine head. Coffee licorice and cocoa in the nose, nice smooth mouthfeel, more coffee and cocoa on the palate, moderate bitterness.

Bottle - 330ml. Opaque black body with a huge beige foamy head. Nice malty/hoppy aroma with plummy and roasty hints. Taste carries plummy, woody, and brown sugar notes. Ends with a strong bittersweet finish. Good stuff.

The head is medium, the body black. It smells roasty-sweet, a bit bitter, chocolate. The taste is sour, roasty, fruity. In the aftertaste mild sour, more roasty. Overall ok 11/11/10/10/12/10

Clear dark black - red brown colour with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, caramel, moderate to heavy hoppy, orange - citrus, grapefruit, light leather, sweet licorice notes. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, salty licorice, dark malt, thin. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20111121]

Angenehmes Stout! Danke an Erzengel. 12/10/9/9/10/9
