ante (2451), Stockholm (Bromma), Sweden May 10, 2008 Bottled, thanks omhper! Pours out in a hazy dark brown colour with a large dense tan-coloured foam. Resinous and grapefruity aroma with solid undertones of toasted malts and roasted nuts. Medium-bodied with notes of crackers, toasted malts and nuts with strong notes of resin and garpefruits. Long bitter and aromatic finish of resin, flowers, grass and grapefruit with dense undertones of roasted malts and spunned sugar. Still dry. really nice hoppy dark ale from an excellent brewer.
omhper (10141), Stockholm, Sweden May 26, 2008 Bottled, thanks Bov! Nut brown, rich airy head. Grapefruity nose. Light aroma of nutty roasty malt. Dry with good amounts of grapefruity American hops. Notes of coffee. Long resiny bitter finish. Another solid, flavourful beer from Trois Dames! SubCapt (22), Switzerland May 14, 2008 Very dark brown with a cream.couloured head. Rich molasses, cocoa, treacle-like nose, with a citrusy, resiny hop edge seamlessly merged into it.
Splendid rich, yet dryish malty palate, smooth cocoa, treacle, and more resinny hops leading into a long dry roasty bitter finish. Very drinkable hoppy porter, might work as a session beer. Bov (4558), Bienne, Switzerland Feb 19, 2008 courtesy of Raphael Mettler - slightly hazy dark brown colour with a little collapsing beige foam; robust and charming flowery hoppy aroma; some biscuity notes in the background; good and rounded malt body; decent bitterness before a very long aromatic hoppy aftertaste - very nice
