omhper (10456), Stockholm, Sweden Apr 21, 2008 Bottled, thanks Bov! Cloudy golden with lively head. Perfumy nose with lots of coriander. Sweet, soft and light bodied. Fresh and orangey, very drinkable. Some late orange peel bitterness. A witbier with life and character!
sebletitje (270), Tampa, Florida, USA Aug 15, 2008 25cl bottle.
Pours cloudy golden with white head.
Aroma is of citrus and agrumes, some orange peel.
Taste is hoppy, fruity (orange, lemon) and lightly spicy (coriander/black pepper) aftertaste.
Ligh, refreshing, and something really new and interesting in a blanche.
I am really impressed by the 3 Dames brewery. Some of their beers seem to have this signature spice and also an excelent stout.
SubCapt (22), Switzerland May 14, 2008 Hazy straw colour, nice fluffy but tight head. Lemony, yeasty, spicy nose, fruity, pretty intense palate, with more citrus, the mandatory bubble-gum edge, coriander and yeast. Nice dryish, noticeably bitter finish, with little sweetness lingering. Brave, dryish, very drinkable take on the style, led by a firm belief that a blanche can be more than just a refreshment. Definitely one of the best blanches Switzerland has to offer, along with BFM’s and Bière de Neuch’s. oh6gdx (5903), Vaasa, Finland May 12, 2008 Bottled (thanks Bov!). Hazy yellow colour, mediumsized white fluffy/creamy head. Aroma is spices, a lot of citrusfruits and some mild acidicness too. Flavour is very spicy (coriander), fruity and also some yeastyness. Very refreshing. TBone (4975), Pori, Finland May 12, 2008 Bottled (BB 10/2008)
