Not very sour. The aroma is there but the flavor is dominated by the espresso. Which is good, not overpowering and just a hint of sour tart towards the end.

33 cl bottle. Darkest hueless brown, tan foam fades fast. Aroma of chocolate and dark roast. Taste is citrus chocolate and bitter coffee bean. Softer carbonation, medium bodied, moderately hopped. Tartens a bit, leaning towards a vinous finish. DNFL (Definitely Not for Lagerboys)

Pours a very dark brown with a small tan head that shrinks. Aroma is coffee, roasted malt, grainy, and cocoa. Flavour is coffee, moderately sour, roasted malt, on the acidic side for sure, and cocoa. With the sourness/acidity I find this a bit off putting.

From notes: Draught @ Strangelove’s in Philadelphia. Poured opaque black with a 3-finger tan head. Roasty aroma, with grainy and coffee notes. Full body with a dry finish. Roasty flavor with a mild grainy note beneath. A touch of dairy cream as well.

Some roast malt and espresso here. Pours dark brown with orange tinge - little head or lacing. Low carbonation. Finishes with light sweetness and light bitterness. Medium to light palate. Bottle.

Bottle. Pours Very Dark Brown, darn tan head. Nose is instant coffee, chocolate, roast. Flavour is stale instant coffee, lemon seed. The latter becomes more apparent the more you drink it. Couldn’t get the sourness out of my mouth. I don’t care for this, maybe it’s intentional maybe not; just rating what I bought.

Discounted bottle from store aroma, pours a really deep brown/ black with an enormous tan head. Tons of floating yeasties/protein particles swirling around. Aromas of bottle from shelf, some smooth chocolate, roast. Not much coffe detected, but this one is probably well over a year old by now. Still, it’s pretty damn good. Finishes on a light grape drank note, some apple juice offered. I like it.

Dark brown colored beer with a brown head. Cocoa and milk chocolate aroma, quite malty. Sourish vinous chocolate flavor

Bottle courtesy of Travlr, many thanks! Was expecting a straightforward stout, but the entire beer was sour. Not sure if it was supposed to be, but if it was, then an extremely interesting sour stout…
