The Aroma is pretty one dimensional, grapes and must. The pour was a very light and clear golden yellow with almost no head. The taste was mostly sweet with a little bit of tartness towards the end. The body was very light and effervescent. Overall it was actually a little disappointing not very sour and in comparison to the no. 2 it was overly dominated by the grapes.

Another bottle bought in blind haste luckily I hadn’t rated prior since it looks like I had #2 rouge version. This pours a white wine coloration with thin head. Nose is grapes and must not surprisingly. Tastes of white grapes, must, pears, vino, floral, and slight tonic water. Pretty thin palate and drying finish. Not all that sour at all good use a lunch of tartness and stronger flavor.

Tap sample. Poured a hazy amber color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy sour and tannic wood aroma. Medium body with a dry smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy sour & sweet flavor with a medium to heavy sweet and sour finish of moderate duration. Complex beer that surpassed my expectations.

Bottle (dregs) ... Cloudy pear-colored pour with no head. The bouquet is an assortment of earthy, woody, tangy, fruity and spicy notes accompanied by a hint of vanilla. Full-bodied with lazy carbonation. Sweet pale grains, tart acidity and yeasty bitterness provide near-perfect balance. Tangy finish with a smidge of bread-crust bitterness. 11.2oz capped bottle, from Dutch’s. $6.49 retail in Ohio. Clear golden color. Thin ring of white head, loose dots of lace. Smooth, crisp lighter carbonation. Lightly dry texture. Medium body. Tastes lighter than 8%. Pretty bright, kind of refreshing even... Kinda like white wines.. Some wild yeast in the nose, light tartness in the flavor, but more sweet overall. Nice wood, white grape in the nose. Some citrus. Pretty nice, enjoyable stuff. Better than expected.

Hazy tan body, thin head. Gentle, nuanced sour wheat nose without the overwhelming vinegar or tartness of some beers of the style. Soft, light malting. The body too is softly malted with an easy sourness throughout. Restrained and quite refreshing.

Draft at ChurchKey for Night of the Living Ales: Part 3. Poured a orange-yellow color with a small wispy-white head. Aroma was notes of sweet, barrel notes, some musty notes. Funk. Not too bad.

Hazy yellow with a big loose head that fades into a small film of a head.

The aroma is bright, fruity, and a little tinny. It’s certainly got that yogurt-y lactic character.

The flavor Is nicely fruity, it’s got a nice lemony character but leaves out the sort of lemon rind that I like in a lot of good sours. The beer is dry and has a lively white wine character as well as some nice but low tartness. There is some odd bitterness to it, not unpleasant... just odd.

I normally really dig this sort of thing, and it’s perfectly enjoyable... but I could have used a few more bright notes to bring it together.

Had on draft at the Avenue Pub .. . Pours a choppy pear yellow .. . Mild head, lacing is quite good .. . Some yeast, white grape, and white smartie dust .. . Palate is mild, feels more like a witbier .. . . My hobbies include computing, washing paper plates, and kicking dogs.

Zwanze day 2013, Avenue Pub! Pours a hazy yellow on tab with thin bubbly white head. Aroma of sour white grapes, dusty yeast, and slight grain. Taste follows, slightly sour but one of the least impressive of the day. Meh.
