Location: Bottle at Mile End Deli, 5/9/15

Aroma: Bright and fruity aroma, grape, Saison yeast, and light pepper.
Appearance: It pours an unclear orange color with a small, fizzy head on top.
Flavor: The flavor of this one is sweet fruit, grape, a little spice, and mild funk.
Palate: Light bodied with a clean feel and lively carbonation, finishes slightly funky.
Overall Impression: Nice aroma. Too fizzy, but otherwise rather enjoyable.

Cloudy orange beer with a little foam. Grapey smell with little sour notes. The taste is smooth but sour. Grapes and sweet. Not too balanced but nice. The aftertaste is almost damaging to the beer. Nevertheless a good beer.

Hazy orange color with white head. Aroma is saison-ish, grapes, funk. Taste is grapes, cookie dough, dry, a good sour bite, dry and a bit boozy finish. Good!

Tasted at the Triple Rock Sour and Barrel Aged Fest on 2/10/2013. This sour ale pours a medium orange gold color from the bottle. Small to medium sized head. The aroma is fruity and sweet, funk and must. A medium bodied sour ale. The malts are fruity and sweet. The hops are herbal and earthy. Decent carbonation. Kind of sweet, some peaches and apricots. Some wood. A touch dry especially at the finish. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

Murray’s Cheese, NYC 11.2 ounce ($7): Pours orange with a pinkish head. Aroma is wine, grapes, vinegar, yeast. Taste is on the lower end of sour ales. Definitely has some bite to it and a lingering aftertaste. Doughy yeast makes a mysterious appearance as well. Easy to drink. Pleasant, but perhaps a bit underwhelming.

Pours a purplish amber with a short white head and lacing. It has a light aroma of yeast and some funk with a bit of red wine. The flavor is light, with some funk and light malt up front, a sour backbone, and a crisp, tart finish with a bit of fruit over a light body.

Fruchtig bitterer, etwas säuerlicher Antrunk. Konstant, die Säuerlichkeit wird etwas stärker. Trocken herb, starke Karbonisierung. Süffig, gut! 12/9/11/10//11

Bottle to snifter. Looks undercarbonated; a mostly transparent burnt orange with very thin eggshell head that completely dissipates pretty quickly. Smells like an apple cider sour. Some semi-sweetness too. Average on the palate. Fail, especially for the price. When I want a cider, I’ll drink a cider.

Bottle. Poured a hazy reddish amber color with an average frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy sour, dark fruit and tannic wood aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy sour & grape flavor with a medium to heavy grape & sour finish of moderate duration. This is a complex beer.
