First of all, THIS BEER SHOULD BE DECANTED! I learned the hard way. During most of the pour the color of the beer was much more of a blonde. At the end and before I could stop myself, some dark sediment poured out and totally changed the color of the beer, probably other aspects as well. Aroma is fruit, slight tang, malt. Flavor’s like nose with tang more bold, ditto sweet, slight bitter. Still not really an attractive beer for me.

I am not a fan of the chassela but I have to recognize that the mix between the beer and white wine was not bad. The taste of wine is stronger than the malt but there is a side "acide" not bad. The carbonation is weak and the colour is yellow and troubled.

Bottled. Pours clear deep golden with a tiny white head. Aroma of yeast, funk and white wine, light alcohol. Slightly sweet flavor that ends up dry and tart. Medium bodied, watery to oily texture and soft carbonation. A nice Ale indeed. 🌟🌟🌟

Bottle - pours hazy clear straw with huge fluffy white head. Almost champagne like carbonation. Nose is berries, white grapes, champagne yeast, some oak and yogurt. White grape must, some more champagne flavors, berries and sparkling grape juice with some residual sweetness. Quite carbonated and drinkable ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

11/14/2014: Dull, hazy gold color; quite effervescent. Give it a swirl in the glass, it has a fantastic sugary white grapiness with a bit of berry and oak. It smells really good, but the flavor doesn’t deliver. Actually, it falls pretty flat. It is lightly spicy, slightly sour, a bit of honey flavor and sweetness. It isn’t overly flavorful and has no finish. It’s also bit thin in body. I think this one might be too old at this point to really enjoy. 330 ml bottle (Cons. 2013 auot) shared by Brian.

You can smell the grape fruitiness from the moment you pour it, and it's nearly effervescent with carbonation. The flavor doesn't come through like you'd expect for the blast of flavor your nose gets when you open it. Overall, not as good as I expected from reviews and hype. This bottle was deemed to be consumed by a if 2013 - which may play into the lack of flavorings.

330ml bottle served in a Karmeliet tulip. A: Pours a hazy orange color forming a small bubbled and aired head with small retention and practically no lacings left S: Very fruity, very white wine and vinegar in the nose. White grapes and oak. Sweet malts T: Follows the nose, very white wine. Tart and vinegar. A dry and tart beer, in overall. Notes of wood, sweet malts and hops M: Medium body and medium to low carbonation. Tart aftertaste O: High drinkability. Excellent beer. Recommended [ BA Review @ 9/16/2012 ]

A refreshing sour ale. Pours like a wine or white grape juice. Flavors of grapes are evident and welcomed. Not overly sour, has some residual sweetness, and doesn’t finish dry like white wines typically do.
