Semi transparent dark brown beer. Good pale tan head. Crisp semi dry palate. Typically Oud Bruin semi vinegar tartness. Quite a sour - bitter finish. Refreshingly tart but not a classic Oud Bruin.

On tap at Jester King Funk and Sour Fest. Pours a cloudy brown with small beige head. Aroma of funk and raisin. Medium mouthfeel with a sweet malt and sour fruit and nice tart finish. Easy to drink, a very good sour ale.

Tap. Pours opaque dark brown to black, tiny beige head that disappears quickly. No lacing. Aroma is faint port, molasses, raisin, tart cherry, dried fruit, . Flavor is the same, quite complex, medium sweet with a light tartness. Full bodied and creamy. Low carbonation.

The beer is dark, chestnut brown with hints of ruby. The beige head is thin and fades almost immediately. The aroma offers oak, cherries, sweet cherry juice. The flavor brings a blend of sweet and tart cherries, along with some oak. Tannic throughout. Low carbonation. Slightly puckering finish. A good sipping beer, similar to a nice wine.

Pours dark brown with a crimson hue small light brown head. Smell is smoke, chocolate, cherries, red wine. Taste is sour cherry, red wine, vinegar, chocolate. nice full body, light carbonation - very addictive.

Black with minimal carbonation and thin white head. Musty tobacco and soy aroma. All kinds of flavors happening here; cherry, vanilla, flank steak and chocolate liquor all rounded out nicely with a tart sweetness.

Aroma of cherry, tootsie roll, moderate sourness and some red grape. Appearance is dark crimson with bone head. Flavor of chocolate, cherry, red grape and some resin in the finish. Palate is creamy and chewy with a moderate mouthfeel. A nice one.

Bottle shared tonight by Nick, I think. Pours a deep black with minimal tan head. Aroma is concord grape, blue cheese, rind. Taste is very grape forward with some light apricot fuzz and some cheese elements. Hay is in there too but not pronounced until it warms. The mouthfeel on this is great, again, i really dislike most imperial stouts as a rule but love stout based sours. This one is there with a more wine like texture and mouthfeel. This one was not great at first but as it warmed was rather nice and interesting. Would revisit.

A - Murky raisin brown. no head
S - Smells of cider vinegar, wine and raisins.
T - Taste is similar.copper metallic taste and lots of vinegar. Hints of cherries.
M - Light body, very thin, earthy finish.
O - Disappointing but still nice to share with friends.

On tap at Churchkey’s Night of the Living Ales event. This one poured a dark copper color with a wispy off-white head. Aroma was funky apricots, with some brandy barrel character to it. A touch of tart, funky character, apricots and brandy is in there. A nice way to end the night at this funky sour-fest.
