COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

33cl bottle. Pours a dark red with an offwhite head. Smells a bit of caramel, lots of malt, and a bit bready. Tastes of a medium sweetness, with a large bitter finish. Texture is rough, a bit sand-papery, with mild carbonation. Not a fan, and it doesn’t do the style much justice.

Off? Dark amber and unclear. Has an off-white head, mostly lasting. Acidic aroma, bad fruit and berries. Acidic/sweet flavor.

Bottle. Creamy off-white good mostly lasting head. Dark amber colour. Moderate malty and light hoppy aroma. Very nice sour notes! Light bitter flavor. Average light bitter semi sweet/sour finish. Watery palate. Brewflaw all the way but drinkable.

33cl, merci Allen! - Very pleasantly drinkable, light red ale with subtle caramel and roasted notes and great aromatic, earthy hops. Modest, with Irish ABV, gone in a few gulps.

(bottle, 33cl) Hazy, amber to copper colour with a short and tanned foamy layer. Mildly toasted malty aroma with notes of caramel, bread, as well as a subtle fruity hoppy touch. Moderately sweet and delicately bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with an almost crisp carbonation. Toasty malt-character, slightly burnt flavours, caramel, again subtle fruity notes; sweet and slightly bitter caramelly finish. Aromatic. 06.II.13

Bottle (fortunately n o t delivered by Allen!): Hazy, chestnut-amber coloured, small off-white foamy layer, some roasty-fruity aromas detectable; moderate dryish bitter and also sweetish flavours, light bodied; slightly lingering dryish hoppy-toasty finish. Nice little brew, well balanced...

UPDATED: NOV 2, 2012 Bottle from Drinks of the World, Bern. Sour aroma, sour bitter flavour, nobody else mentioned the sourness so I think this bottle may have been contaminated.

Bottle shared. Pours cloudy brown with an off white head. Aroma is funky sour, not in a good way, bad bottle perhaps. Flavour is also bad sour, must be contaminated.

33.cl bottle courtesy of and with jmgreenuk. Sour aroma. Hazy amber pour. Seems to be off as it’s sour.

Bottle - 330ml. Hazy amber body with a huge beige foamy head. Well balanced malty/hoppy aroma with grainy hints. Taste is dominated by malty and grainy flavors. It also carries some woody notes. Ends with a decent bitter/grainy finish. Not bad, but slightly misbalanced.
