COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

33cl bottle. Pours a dark red with an offwhite head. Smells a bit of caramel, lots of malt, and a bit bready. Tastes of a medium sweetness, with a large bitter finish. Texture is rough, a bit sand-papery, with mild carbonation. Not a fan, and it doesn’t do the style much justice.

Sweet malty, nutty with a trace of hops aroma. Pours dark reddish brown with a thin small bubbled tan head. Some balanced sweet and salty tastes, raisin notes with a lingering hops finish. Nice carbonation. Very well made and drinkable.

Bière rousse légère bue en bouteille. Bons arômes torréfiés sur la langue. Goût "ordinaire" pour une ambrée

Aroma: intense fruits, caramel malts, dry sweetness. Appearance: hazy brown, small, beige head. Taste: light bitter and sour. Plate: sour, dry bitters continue, very dry finish, not much flavour, some dry fruits. Overall: this is not at all my cup of tea, what a weird interpretation of an Irish Ale. Bottle from Drinks of the World, Bern HB.

UPDATED: DEC 15, 2014 330ml bottle poured in a chalice. Nice Trois Dames specimen. One of the best Swiss breweries which can be easily distinguished in a market controlled by the poor quality and high distribution breweries. A: Beautiful deep red-amber cloudy color with a small yellow head which dissipates quickly leaving few nice lacings in the glass S: Caramel malt and flowery hops basically. Also a bit fruity and citrus T: Caramel malt, citrus and caramel. Nice bitter end also a bit sour M: Light body. Low to medium carbonation. Low ABV. A bit molasses with a nice bitter "hoppy" end D: Good. Nice beer with the Trois Dames quality [ BA Review @ 6/24/2010 ]

330ml bottle from Drinks of the World, Winterthur. Shared with blackhaddock down there on a train replacement bus en route to a Midlands beer tasting. Pours chestnut brown with tan head. Aroma of dark fruits. A touch of Irish red ale in the taste, but I don’t know if that’s because Jeremy mentioned it. A pleasant Swiss red ale with decent malts and fruit.

33cl Bottle shared with minutemat on back seat of a coach on the way to a Midlands Beer Swap in Birmingham on 24th Aug 2014. Cheers Mat, a low alcohol Irish Red from Switzerland. Pours a deep red with an off-white head. I thought it a cross between a normal Irish Red and a semi-sour Flemish Red Ale, so a semi-sour Irish Red really. I liked it. The body could have been a bit richer/thicker but otherwise a very pleasant beer.
