Bottle with no hiss on opening. Pours hazy orange flat with no head. Subdued aroma vinegar, grapes, oak. Taste is white grape juice, tart vinegar and oak. Nicely balanced sweet and tart. Similar to other Swiss sours I’ve had and very good despite getting a flat bottle.

Bottle. Pours nearly flat. Some crap left around the mouth of the bottle. No head, Lightly hazed deep golden hue. Aromas are of red wine, wood, plums, under ripe fruit, light oak, funky, sour, rotten citrus/tamarind, lacto. Flavors are quite acetic and estery. Burning vinegar and sweet fruit with fusel and ester (plums, apple). Some red wine notes, but acetic to the point that it is undrinkable. Light carbonation. Really pretty rough. Expensive drain pour. Disappointing.

Bottle @ Oakquinox 2013. Golden amber pour with a small white head. Smells of cider and white vinegar. Some hints of fruit, mild honey, herbs, and apple. Musty oak, sourness, and a touch of acetone. There’s a heavy vinegar sourness to the beer. Apple cider, oak, herbs, honey, and some oak. Green apple skin, a bit of lemon, maybe a touch of white grape.

750ml bottle. Poured a golden / amber color with no head. Subtle aromas of wood, vinegar, some fruitiness, and musty. Tastes of vinegar, green apples, grapes, and wood. Starts out slightly sweet with a strong vinegar puckering finish.

On tap at Sourface event at Bainbridge. Straight nail polish remover, fire, fuel. So sour and gross. Wow, what a horrible beer.

Bottle. Amber beer with a thin cream head. Oak and dark fruit aroma. Oak and yeast flavor with fruitiness, tartness, and earthiness. Medium bodied. Low carbonation. Tartness and oak linger with light acetic notes and dark fruit.

Draft. Cloudy light amber color, thick white head, solid lacing. Aroma of sour plums and apricot. Taste is softly sour summer fruit with an acetic finish. Decent.

Tap at CK thanks to Travlr. Pours a muddy, deep orange. Medium white foam. Nose is 100% acetobacter. Taste is hot hot vinegar. Tangy, acetic to the max.

Draft at Churchkey. Cloudy orange pour. Big nail polish remover and acetic acid on the nose, with notes of white plum and peach. Flavor is much of the same, with big aggressive sourness mixing with fruit and barrel tannins. Unbalanced, but I still am OK with it.

Draft at Farmers Cabinet. Orange brown pour. Slight foamy head that disappeared quickly. Full, juicy and tart. A brown ale without the sickening sweetness. Nicely blended. Mildly syrupy sweet with a medium tartness to balance it. Very nice.
