Gusher alert! 75 cL bottle from La Mise en Bière, Lausanne. Pours hazy orange/reddish with a large off-white head. Aroma is saison yeast, spices, brett, tart, barn and a little bit of raspberry. Taste has more raspberry than the aroma, somewhat like a framboise. Taste also has spices, saison funk, barn and a soft sourness. Medium body and medium to high carbo. Not sure if the sourness is intended, but a nice beer. Could have had a bit more raspberry though.

Capped 750 from Star Grocery in Berkeley, CA. Gushed a bit. Pours bright ruddy orange copper with a nice, slightly pink head. Framboise aroma with hints of barnyard. Med body or better - carbonation helps there. Flavor is rather tart red berry with some earthy barnyard, and then it suddenly becomes raspberry. I’m thinking this is a little underrated. Finishes dry, berry, earthy, and a little mouth coating. Who knows what that might be. Berry skin stuff? Anyway it is quite excellent.

Bottle at BRU Pub august 30th 2013. Hazy red/orange body, white head. Aroma of yeast spices, raspberries, cherries. Taste of pepper, caramel, raspberries, grain, spicy yeast towards the end, while the beer feels a bit heavy and sweet for a saison it’s got a dry refreshing spicy aftertaste. The raspberries are a nice twist, though I feel they overshadow other qualities of the beer.

750mL shared at Congregation Azusa. Pours a murky deep golden. Slight gusher. Overcarbonated foam. Nose is funky, white wine barrel, fresh raspberry, bright Brett. Nice. Taste is tangy, big lemonade, citric bite, cedar, salt, lime peel, ginger. Huge aeration, probably unintentionally Brett infected.

Great mix of raspberry and saison. Comes together without raspberry dominating the beer. Just leaves a funky finish. Soft carbonation. Pink pour without much head or lacing. Sweet and sour finish. Tap at Novare Res.

On tap @ Beachwood BBQ. Sort of a rosé colored pour with a small white head. Some raspberry, mild tartness, and grass on the nose. Yeast, light grain, and spices. Flavor is a bit watery. Raspberry, mild orange zest, grass, and yeast. Some graininess, spice, and light tartness.
