33cl BB Jan/2013 (bottled late 2011 ??) labelled as ALE DE NOËL. -- Pours reddish dark brown. Beige head. Aroma is spices, leather, animal. Flavor is coffee, burnt malt, notes of orange. Medium bodied, soft carbonated. Alcohol completely hidden. A gentlemen’s brew.

Appearance: Dark dark brown, hint of red. Some tan head. Aroma: Prunes, cinnamon, chocolate. Christmas. Taste: Chocolate, malt, slight coffee, more spices. Again, tastes like Christmas. Hides the alcohol well. Info: 330ml bottle, 9/1-2012

courtesy of fiulijn - dark brown colour with no foam left; robust aroma of gingerbread and cloves; medium-bodied and slightly acidic; dry and hoppy, highly spicy finish - tons of Xmas shit in my mouth ? no thanks !

Bottle from La Mise en Bière, Lausanne
Dark brown color; small head. Strong aroma of Christmas spice mix (gingerbread; pain d’épices), but also a bit soapy, minty and biscuity. Good body strength; there flavor indeed is not simply made by the Christmas spices, but it has some bread and cookies traces, and combined with the orange peels it’s reminiscent of a Christmas Pudding. The bitterness is quite strong, and in the final there is also some more roastiness.
Not my favorite style, but good.

Bottled 33cl. Purchased in marché Viret in Villars-sur-Ollon. Lovely orange peel characteristics throughout. Good carbonation. Nice bitterness. Delicious.
