Originally mislplaced in Winter Ale: Max’s Taphouse, Baltimore tap ($7.75): I am assuming that this is the beer I drank. It was called winter sour at the bar. I suppose the guy below me had the same thing. Anyway, it poured a brownish color. Had a woody, very fruity, and vinegar aroma. Light sourness, very light. Some peculiar maltiness. This rating maybe should be moved...

Draught. Hazy hay yellow liquid with enormous white head. Aroma of white pepper, lemon peel, apple skin, bread, barnyard and leather. Taste is dry and light sour with notes of lemon, white pepper, barnyard and apples. Light to medium bodied with medium carbonation. Quite nice.

Draught at Bishop Arms Savoy, Malmö december 2013. Pale golden beer with a lacy white head. Sourish, rubber, grapefruit aroma. Similar flavour with some spicy hints.

Tap. Poured a clear reddish amber color with an average frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy sour & tart fruit aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy sour & tart fruit flavor with a medium to heavy tart & sour finish of moderate to long duration. This is a solid beer.

Draft at Madtree. Pours a hazy yellow color with a large fluffy white head. The aroma and flavor have lemony citrus, a hint of orange, Brett, funk, mildly sour, dusty and dry finish.

Lukaduke (1757) - Portland, Maine, USA - JAN 16, 2014
Pours a slightly hazy yellow golden color with two fingers of fizzy white foam. The nose is light with a grainy cereal like backbone thats kissed with orange zest and minerality. The palate follows and is light and spritzy with lots of seltzer like minerality, straw, and soft spiced citrus notes. The grain holds the body from being too watery but the flavors are a bit subdued and restrained to make this a great beer.

750ml bottle thanks to Lukaduke for sharing! Pours hazy golden orange with fluffy medium head. Nose is tart citrus and spices, light funk. Taste is hay, spices, fluffy, orange, herbal. Finish is dry tart citrus and herbs. Pretty good.

Bottle. Split with and care of Tom. Pours glowing, nearly opaque tangerine with a fat, airy white head. Aroma is lemon, barn, and orange. Taste is lemon and esters, with no trace of sour except a little funk in the finish. The bitterness of the orange gives this a weird balance, and there’s no cutting sourness to highlight the citrus flavor. Not too great.

Bottle with Pat. Pours a cloudy pale yellow with thick, fluffy, lumpy, white head with seafoam lace. Nose of lemon, horse blanket, Brett. Light body, not really tart at all. Spicy - white pepper, some lemon and citrus, coriander.

Draught at Pibar, Lausanne
Hazy pale blond color with generous fluffy head. Very nice aroma: Bretts, lemon, lactic acid, oranges, spices, a bit feety. Highly carbonated, smooth, rather dry, with fresh herbal touch, sage; correct bitterness, with light final astringency.
Fresh and excellent. Easy drinkable.

750 ml bottle poured a clear gold with a lasting white head. Aromas of straw, ginger, yeast and a hint of citrus. Palate was light bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of straw, yeast, ginger and a hint of orange with a smooth dry finish. Nothing sour about this just a plain average spiced ale.
