3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Corked bottle, purchased 3+ years ago
Measured Final Gravity: 1040
It has a beautiful amber color, bright. The aroma is mild, with some fruitiness (more raspberry than cherry), delicate and seducing. The body is quite lean, yet the mouthfeel is round; it has a moderate sweetness, good cherry juice flavor, well blended, light typical bitterness, some alcohol warmth, and light ending astringency from the mild tannins.
Well constructed, easy to drink and yet very pleasant.

Za mocno estrowe, z wyższymi alkoholami, zdaje się jakby produkowany był z pośpiechem.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Rund süßer Antrunk, leckere Honignoten, zu Beginn kaum alkoholisch. Im Mittelteil bereits etwas brennend, fruchtig, sehr süffig. Zum Ende hin weiterhin angenehm süß, fruchtig, rund. Sehr gut! 9/10/11/11/7/11

Bottle generously shared by the Cheeseman at RBWG Grand Tasting. Cheers, Dan! Pours a still deep amber. Nose is honeycomb, earth honey, and sweetness. Some light brandy added on in the flavor. Nice Polish mead.

.. midd pit my mead .. . . deep gold .. still .. . honey and sweet brandy .. . quite sweet, leaves a slick bee sting on the tongue .. . enjoyable, not to hot either .. . . you’re right I do take that back, on the other hand your mum would probably get fingered for a packet of biscuits.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle shared at RBWG! Pours a clear amber with bubbly white head that diminishes quickly. Aroma of sweet, sugary honey and some booze. A nice floral fruitiness in the taste, but still overwhelmingly boozy honey. Not bad.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle at RBWG Grand Tasting thanks to TheCheesedMan. Clear, darker orange. Very little leg formation, though irrelevant. Nose is all sweet cherry juice box. Taste is thinner, sweeter, not a lot of rich honey. Harsher acid background. Was not nearly as enjoyable as the French mead floating around, which was one of the highlights of the tasting.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle at RBwG 2013 Grand Tasting. Pours clear amber with a fine, bubbly head. Big sugary honey aroma. Yeah, big and sweet, lots of harsh honey, some apple. Full bodied with no carbonation. Warm finish, heavy honey, light dry apples. Big guy but alright.

Dark clear amber. Honey (duh) on the nose, but also a blueberry fruitiness. Heat in the finish from the alcohol.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Amber gold color. Oily texture with good hidden alcohol. Moderate warming. Strong aroma of dark mead (acacia mead), a bit fruity, slightly spicy. Taste is sweet but crisp, mead, fruits. Long aftertaste of acacia mead, maybe a bit too sweet.
