COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Serveringstemp 10-12 C.

Dark copper body with a small light-brown head that disappears completely, leaving no lacing. Ok aroma that is dominated by sweet caramel. Light sweet and light bitter taste. The flavours are also completely dominated by sweet caramel, this tastes like Smørbukk™! Also some roasted notes. Light body, a bit watery and thin without becoming unpleasant. A decent beer.

0.5l bottle from #199. It’s quite cloudy in the glass this and it has a deep dark almost bronze colored body with a small quickly gone bubbly and islandy beige top. On the nose I get dark Belgian candied sugar, faint vanilla, a little bit of dark burned caramel and some faint hints of walnuts. It has a really nice almost cloudy mouthfeel this and the carbonation level is about average. Softly burned caramel and lots of malty flavors here. Again I find a little bit of the dark candied sugar and there is also a soft trace of dark cardboard here. Gets more and more watery as you drink it. Actually not a bad Christmas beer at all, but it’s most likely not something I’m considering buying again to enjoy for Christmas. 28.12.2013

Slightly cloudy red/brown pour, with a lightly tanned small head. Interesting smoky and malty sweetness. Not peaty, think lumber and long evenings by the fireplace. Medium/light body, light on the bitterness.

Mørk brun med beige skum. Karamellukt.

Saftig. Burde være et helårsøl!

Bottle. Pours slightly hazy dark brown, with a small creamy head. Aroma is roasted caramel malts, with peat and a very pleasant smoky presence. Also lots of chocolate, some coffee, dark fruits and sugar. Medium creamy body with average carbonation. Flavour is sweet with roasted malts and peat, with caramel, sugar and molasses, dark fruits and raisins, giving a sweet syrupy finish. One of the better Norwegian Christmas beers under 4,75 % ABV.

50cl bottle from Meny, Grønland. Pours slightly hazy copper with an off-white head. Malty aroma with caramel, bread, hints of spices and hops. Light to medium sweet with pleasant bitterness in the finish. Medium to light body. Well balanced and easy to drink. One of the better Norwegian shop strength Christmas beers.

Bottle. Coppery body, small off-white head. Nose is nuts, caramel, mellow "brown cheese" (Norwegian caramelized cheese specialty) notes, hints of grass. Taste is nuts, caramel and hints of coffee and toffee far in the back. Medium body, soft carbonation. I kinda liked this one.
