Kullsort. Høyt lysebrunt kremaktig skum som varer lenge. God sjokoladearoma. Fløyelsmyk på tunga. Smaken litt kaffe & litt sjokolade. Spor av lakris. Svakt søtlig - lakrispreget avslutning. En gjennomført stout!

Tastes like a young and fresh ale. Has a great color for a Stout. It tastes good with a little roasty coffee in the background. Tastes of fresh hops which I don’t like that much in a Stout. The taste of roasty grains and toffee is masked behind the fresh tasting hops. Lacks maturing and it’s really a shame for this ale! But it’s a good beer for a great evening at Trondhjem Mikrobryggeri.

On tap @ the brewpub. Dark brown, almost black body with a nice, creamy, thick beige head. Nice aroma of smooth, roasted malt and chocolate. Flavor is soft and roasted malt, fruity, coffee and bitterhops. I bit on the sweet side but well balanced anyway. Tasty and easy to drink, a nice stout.

Sampler at the brewpub. Pours deep brown almost black with a big frothy tanned head. Rich malty and chocolate aroma. Taste is the same good malts, caramel and toffee, together with a moderate fruity bitterness towards the end.

Clear (!) deep red ruby body with creamy brown head that lasts and leave an excellent lacing. Inviting roasted malt and rye bread aroma. The roasted malt is also part of the flavor array along with coffe and burnt grains. A little acidity is there and a nice roasty finish. Medium bodied and smooth. Although it took 15 minutes to pour it was worth the wait. (01.02.2010)

07.10.2009, on tap at the brewpub Trondhjem Mikrobryggeri. Dark brow/black colour with tan head. This is the richest of the beers from TMB. Aroma is rich with a very nice malty flavour. There is also some nice fruity and creamy bitter flavours. Very nice.

(Draught at the brewpub on 2009-02-17) Black. Dense, big, tan coloured and long lasting head. Weak roasty aroma with some hints of liquorice. Full bodied, creamy and dry palate with little carbonation. Roastedness, hint of liquorice, burnt flavours, coffee, some metallic flavours and hint of grass in taste. Burnt and bitter aftertaste.

100ml on tap at the brewpub in Trondheim. Light brown coloured head resting on a devil black body. Shades of chocolate malt in aroma leading the way to a flavour of lightly roasted grain with echoes of tart fruit and yeasty undertones. Easy to drink (12.12.2007).
