Rune (1497), Tromsø, Norway Dec 19, 2007 100ml on tap at the brewpub in Trondheim. Light brown coloured head resting on a devil black body. Shades of chocolate malt in aroma leading the way to a flavour of lightly roasted grain with echoes of tart fruit and yeasty undertones. Easy to drink (12.12.2007). larsga (2098), Oslo, Norway Nov 25, 2007 Big beige shiny creamy lasting head rises of out the glass. Barely translucent deep dark red body. Sharp line between head and body. Mild roasty malty aroma with smoky perfumy notes. Sweetish milky harmonic perfumy roasty taste. Dry burnt milky aftertaste with hoppy notes. Notes of chocolate. Mild dusty mouthfeel. Coffee taste lingers. Nice. One of their best. (0.33l draft at TMB.) Comments: A hoppy and dry nitro, Americanised, stout that has a slight medicinal undertone that would disturb if it were a lager, but is not too obtrusive here.
tarjei (941), Bryne, Norway Aug 21, 2007 Updated: Jan 29, 20080,33 cl glass at the brewpub. Took 15 min. to tap it in glass. Almost black. Fantastic high, brown, creamy head. Burnt/roasted malt, lovely chocolate flavor, fruity and dry finish. A bit thin, but still a lovely stout. KM (137), Tromsø, Norway Apr 22, 2007 Tap. Almost black with some reddish hints. Very nice creamy head. Nice aroma, complex. Pretty complex fruity coffeeflavour. Very rich and heavy, just take small sips of this one. Very balanced alcohol flavour. This beer has all that is required for a very good stout. (Trondhj. MB, 03.04.07)
