On tap at TBC. Not a major fan of this style, which seems to have worn out its novelty fairly quickly, but they did an alright rendition of it. Handsome medium orange pour with a silky head. Nose is a bit aggressively sweet, with bitter and piney notes coming on at the tail end. Vibrant mouthfeel, quite pleasant. But the flavors are a bit discontinuous, sometimes hardcore with the yeast and spice (at the expense of IPA characteristics) and at other times the inverse.

Draught in a flight. Pours a cloudy golden color with a moderate head. There is relatively little nose in this one. Taste is a bit spicy and a tad bitter. Not a huge fan of this one.

Tap @ TBC opening night! Pours a Hazy orange with bubbles racing up the middle to a foamy white head that had tons of bubbles in it and faded extremely slowly, leaving decent spotty lacing. The head barely budged for a minute and dissipated quite gradually. Smells of sweet fruit like pear, apple and banana, followed by funky yeast, biscuit, herbs, tea leaf, spices like coriander, pepper and light allspice, wet leaves, flowers and light alcohol. The hops were covered up leaving the “IPA” part a non-factor. Flavor is sweet fruit like pear, apple and banana, some clove, funky yeast, biscuit, roasted grains, herbs, tea leaf, spices like coriander, pepper, allspice and maybe some cinnamon, flowers/floral hops and light alcohol. The hops were very weak and while there is some bitterness this is more a belgian than a belgian IPA
