3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft from the brewery. Pours a dark amber with a generous white head. Nose shows fruity bubblegum in addition to the citrus and hops. A maltier APA, but not just sweet. Well balanced and delicate bitterness.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: SEP 26, 2016 Super fresh can (stamped 9/20/16). Tulip glass.
A: Deep dark orange color poured hard to only a short beige head. Poor retention but good lace.
S: Resinous and sweet pine, spruce and tangerine. Light but dense rustic smell.
T: Orange peel face slap. Bitter zest and pith with pine and puckering tart juice filling out the finish. Malts perceived as light toast or wood.
M: Crisp carbonation cuts through a resinous mouthfeel. Substantial body for 4.9%.
O: Must say I’m impressed. Nice complexity/development of aroma/flavor. A tad more malt sweetness would really set it off but overall highly recommended as is.

Tap at the brewery. The look is mostly clear, golden in color, off white head. The smell is melon, watermelon candy, fruit, hops, light. The taste is crisp, same melon fruit flavors.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Golden pour with an orange tint and one finger of off white head. Pretty middle if the road and balanced. Nose shows a nice sweetness and fruity note. Starting to get a bit of the IPA. Citrus rind and some woody notes.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at Trophy, second visit to this excellent new addition to the Raleigh scene. It’s a pretty standard APA in most respects: deep copper pour, light fluffy head, and a balanced nose. Slightly floral tastes balanced by biscuit malts, moderately dry finish. Good quaffer on a warm day but not overly impressive.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draught in a flight. Pours a cloudy amber color with a moderate head. Nose and taste are both slightly bitter. Not bad, but nothing terribly special.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Hazy orage pour with a frothy white head. Aroma is overly grainy with some hops on the backend. I was expecting something a little more hoppy. Im hoping this one will be more dialed in but, as it stands its kind of bland.
