Bottle at home ... Deep dark brown ... little chocolate malt in the nose ... good fruity roast malt base... little smokey little liquorish, some sweetness and a little coconut in finish.... all round good balance and a satisfying pint.

[Bottle from the Lade Inn] Aroma is primarily chocolatey with fruity notes, some roast, a touch of liquirice and some background oak. Medium body, with a slight candyish sweetness upfront, leading to a dry finish with a little more roast than the nose would suggest. very nice.

Bottled. A dark brown coloured beer with a purple hue and a slight beige head. The aroma is chocolate and fruits with some licquorice and caramel. The taste is quite rich with all the same attributes of the aroma. A long fruity finish. More a porter in my book, but certainly tasty.
