COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed at De Proefbrouwerij for Musketiers.

’Troubadour’ is a deep blond beer with 6,5 % alc. and a second fermentation on the bottle. This second fermentation is responsible for the higher alcohol percentage and the further evolution of the beer in the bottle. When poured out in a suitable glass, ’Troubadour’ has a thick white tenacious head. The first contact with the tongue results in a lovely sparkling feeling. The flavour is characterised by a mild bitterness and is somewhat spicy, followed by a pleasant sweet aftertaste and dry finish. The aroma is mainly characterised by the spicy hop flavours, accompanied by a light fruity flavour. Troubadour Blond is an authentic beer, consisting of the basic elements : pilsner malt, water, hop and yeast.

Bottle at Governors Island BrewFest. Pretty solid Belgian Ale. Pours a slightly cloudy amber-gold with a moderate white head. Some fruit and yeast highlight the Belgian aroma. Flavor is sweet up front with fruity notes, light bread, and a faintly bitter finish. Medium bodied with average carbonation and a fine bubble mouthfeel. Pretty good brew here.

Bottle: Very big white foamy head disappears quick. Color is clear orange yellow. Smell cream, lemon/citron, malts hints of sweet, sour and spices. Taste is really soft and smooth, creamy, hints of fruit (orange) and slight hint of spices Very slight hint of pepper and grass, cream but more sweet and soft. Fruity creamy aftertaste, well balanced.

Fragrent, spicy, huge head. Pours a light yellow color with a huge white head. Spicy raisin nose, also some chlorine armoma. Very sweet raisin taste, some spices, and a hint of banana. Very light bodied with medium carbonation.

On tap at the Bieererde in Amsterdam. Pours golden with big foamy head. Aromas of bananas, coriander, spices, floral. A bit carbonated a slightly acidic. Very nice on a hot day.

Pours a hazy pale blonde color with a nice big off white head. Aroma is light, of malt and hops, grain and straw with spices. Flavors of malts, fruity, bananas, lemon grass, hops, yeast and spices. Good carbonation, nice mellow bitter. Great flavors that stay long. Really nice blond.

11.2 oz bottle- Pours cloudy golden with a nice white head, aroma is very sour, yeasty, and lemon pepper spicy. The flavor is a Belgium beer that is similar to a Saison, highly carbonated, creamy as hell, and quite a suprise.

I was very surprised by this one. Pours a nice cloudy gold with fluffy head. Nose is very floral citrus. Taste is fruits, banana, lemongrass and lightly spiced malt. Rated 6/7/02
