The taste was VERY yeasty with an aftertaste almost like a soft pretzle - maybe slightly too yeasty? You can certainly taste something bread-like [maybe rye?] in a hearty belch! It was okay but not something I would go out of my way for. I would steer someone towards the Ommegang Ommegeddon first. UselessGdTaste (363), Long Beach, California, USA

I had a hard time noting the spicynes that people refer to. Drinkable for a saison, but not one that I would turn to for style introduction. SHIG (2051), Aviano, Italy

| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 6/20 | Apr 17, 2007 Bottle: Big sweet yeasty aroma with moderate fruit cake, raisins, and apples. It pours a hazy golden orange with a moderate creamy white head that lasts a minute or so. The flavor starts with moderate yeastiness with some fruit cake and a hint of raisin. The finish has notes of sweet apple and a touch of flowery hops. The is a harsh metallic taste in the finish and is really hard to get past and kills the beer. Lubiere (4556), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
