Commercial Description:
Brewed at De Proefbrouwerij for Musketiers.

'Troubadour' is a deep blond beer with 6,5 % alc. and a second fermentation on the bottle. This second fermentation is responsible for the higher alcohol percentage and the further evolution of the beer in the bottle. When poured out in a suitable glass, 'Troubadour' has a thick white tenacious head. The first contact with the tongue results in a lovely sparkling feeling. The flavour is characterised by a mild bitterness and is somewhat spicy, followed by a pleasant sweet aftertaste and dry finish. The aroma is mainly characterised by the spicy hop flavours, accompanied by a light fruity flavour. Troubadour Blond is an authentic beer, consisting of the basic elements : pilsner malt, water, hop and yeast.

Heavily spicy. Some brown coloring to the head. Good as a novelty beer, only one is drinkable.

Bottled date 10/03/04 - unsure if this means October 3, 2004 or March 10, 2004 (I assume in means March). Slightly hazy light copper with a grand white head. Lacing is thick, sticky, and frothy. Yeasty, musty aroma with a touch of banana and citric hoppiness. Fruity esters prevalent in the flavor, very mellow and soft initially, but the softness slowly wanes as slightly bitter, spicy hops creep up. Finish is slightly sour, bready with hints of over-ripened plums and raisins. Nice full, pillowy mouthfeel with a moderate level of carbonation.

Cloudy copper color, medium head. Pretty tangy, some hops, a little bready with some lighter fruits. Citrusy. Medium bodied, kind of creamy and almost a little spritzy with a dry finish. Pretty tasty.

Pours with a thick, long-lasting head which lies atop an orange-gold opaque liquid. A nice, full blond with plenty of body. Very easy drinking. Finishes a little short, but pleasant.

This is terrific. By far the best blond beer I ever had. It has a mild sweetness but is tangy enough to be a solid beer. Great aftertaste and color. One of this best. Thick mouthfeel this also looks and smells excellent.

Clear, but complex nose: citrus, malt and yeast. Hazy blond color with a sticky tight bubble head. Yeasty, lemony malt body with some vanilla in the background. Some wheat peaks through now and then too. Napkin-like aftertaste, unfortunately. Hoppy finish makes up for it though - actually quite hoppy. Interesting blond. I like it.
