COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed at De Proefbrouwerij for Musketiers.

’Troubadour’ is a deep blond beer with 6,5 % alc. and a second fermentation on the bottle. This second fermentation is responsible for the higher alcohol percentage and the further evolution of the beer in the bottle. When poured out in a suitable glass, ’Troubadour’ has a thick white tenacious head. The first contact with the tongue results in a lovely sparkling feeling. The flavour is characterised by a mild bitterness and is somewhat spicy, followed by a pleasant sweet aftertaste and dry finish. The aroma is mainly characterised by the spicy hop flavours, accompanied by a light fruity flavour. Troubadour Blond is an authentic beer, consisting of the basic elements : pilsner malt, water, hop and yeast.

Discreta blond, ben stritturata e con un punta amara equilibrata. Nulla di travolgente ma di compagnia.

Sweet leaning with a spicy zesty yeast and hop presence in the aroma and flavor. a little too carbonated for my liking but I’m sure that varies. Overall. pretty decent but at a premium price."

Bottle at The Fiddler. Pours hazy golden with a big white head. Aroma of yeast, citrus, herbs and fruit. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Biscuity malt notes in the palate with fresh citrus fruits. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation.

Bottle from the Bierschuur in Poppel. The beer has a yellow golden color and a large white head with a lot of bubbles. The aroma is very spicy and hoppy and has also some nice fruity notes. The taste is light malty and spicy, followed by a mild bitterness. The finish is soft and sweet and a light bitterness is noticable. Comparable to Feuillien Blonde, the only difference for me is the aroma, which is just a little better.

Bottle from old backlog notes 07. Pours a hazy orange color with a medium plus sized white head. The aroma and flavor have Belgian yeast, biscuity malt, honey, mild spicy hops, earthy notes with some fruity esters. Decent, but I wouldn’t revisit this.

BOTTLE 33CL. BB 11/02/2015. A bit of gushing. Look: cloudy golden-amber, off-white creamy head. Aroma: sweet malts and grains with a strange whey/cottage cheese off-flavour. Taste: malty, grainy, quite sweet with a minimal touch of slightly spicy hops.

Belgian blond beer with a little more hops than usual. Results in a freshly bitter blond beer. Nice.

Small, dense white head, fed by lively carbonated hazy golden beer with a greenish/yellow sheen. Dryish, grapey/fruity nose. Bit herbal/spicy (parsley, tarragon?); pale grain, lunaria. Bitterish hoppy flavour, again slightly grapey, suggestion at sweetness. Feels extremely carbonated, near fizzy; all flavours balancing out, slowly fading. Nice, a playful variation on a known theme. Now, let those flying eejits sit down and enjoy a Vliegenierke, instead of ruining all our sunny weekends with their noisy wasting of nonrenewable resources.

Golden colour with orangey shine. White head, lacy. Warm grain in the nose, some alcohol. Cooked vegetable (DMS?). Taste gives sweet malt and slightly bitterish at the same time, + prickly carbonation which results in a nice balance. There is alcohol burn, and the sweetness in the taste becomes distinctly honey-ish, long lingering. A nice beer, nothing spectacular.
