COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed at De Proefbrouwerij for Musketiers.

’Troubadour’ is a deep blond beer with 6,5 % alc. and a second fermentation on the bottle. This second fermentation is responsible for the higher alcohol percentage and the further evolution of the beer in the bottle. When poured out in a suitable glass, ’Troubadour’ has a thick white tenacious head. The first contact with the tongue results in a lovely sparkling feeling. The flavour is characterised by a mild bitterness and is somewhat spicy, followed by a pleasant sweet aftertaste and dry finish. The aroma is mainly characterised by the spicy hop flavours, accompanied by a light fruity flavour. Troubadour Blond is an authentic beer, consisting of the basic elements : pilsner malt, water, hop and yeast.

Hazy gray-yellow. Ok head. More of a hop note in the aroma than many Belgians, definitely has some pilsner-like qualities. Fizzy.

Draft at Firkin. Pours a pale gold, faint haze. Fluffy white head. The nose is nice. Light funk, citrus peel and crackery malts. Soft esters from the yeast as well. on tasting, much sweeter than expected and missing those fruity notes. Balanced bitterness overall with a drying finish. Not bad, really.

Cloudy orange body with a big white head. Dusty yeasty aroma with caramel, lemon, spices and a nice bitterness. Nice bittersweet flavour with orange and caramel. Not really special, but solid.

Bottle. A sweet smell of vanilla, light sour aroma of yeast, also some sugar. The head is very large, white and foamy with a long duration. The body is yellow. A light bitter taste, hops, a little bit metallic. The body is light to medium strong, creamy with a soft carbonation.

Clear straw gold with a big, fizzy white head. Powerful barnyard aroma with a light champagne flavor. Highly carbonated, dry and bubbly finish.

Hazy gold color with a thinnish white head and a ton of soapy lacing. Aroma of bread and pretzel dough, and yeast. Flavor starts malty and finishes with spicy and lightly bitter pilsner hops. Palate is thick and sticky and the pilsner hops linger for a long time.

Fra fat på Oud Arsenaal i Antwerpen 29 Apr 11. Appelsinfarget. Uklart. Høyt kremaktig skum som varer. Forsiktig fruktig aroma. Smaken er tørket frukt med en ok bitterhet i ettersmaken.

Opaque hayish colour with no carbonation. Frothy bubbly head. Dry bready yeasty citric smell, lightly peachy with hints of mandarin. Quite chewy with a bitter watery taste. Yeasty citric with a light alcoholic touch. Quite refreshing.
