Clear reddish brown stout with big head on top. Aroma has dark chocolate, cocoa and some fresh fruits. Soft chocolate and some vanilla in the taste, with surprising amount of fruits for a imperial stout. Nice amount of roasted malts, quite sweet syrup feel. Light body for a imperial stout but low carbonation makes this enjoyable beer. Fresh stout.

75 cl fles. Mooi bruin schuim. Typische stout-smaak. Caramel en chocolade. Zeer lekker. Niets negatiefs te vermelden.

Taste from the bottle. Milk chocolate, yeasty, toast aromas. Black colour, with delicate cleared flashes. Clear. Impressive, big, slowly disappearing creamy head. Medium sweet. A bit of bitterness (like from dark chocolate). Medium/full body. Average carbonation. Strongly suggested to taste.

Pours a deep dark brown with tan head. Roasty aroma with notes of chocolate. Flavor is big in the roast and dark malts, toasty melanoidans, light hop bitterness.

750 ml bottle into signature tulip glass, bottled on 6/5/2012. Pours lightly hazy deep reddish brown color with a 2 finger dense and rocky khaki head with incredible retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Dense soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of chocolate, roasted malt, cocoa, toast, toffee, raisin, fig, pear, clove, herbal, and yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of roasted malt and yeast ester notes; with good strength. Taste of chocolate, cocoa, roasted malt, coffee, toast, toffee, raisin, fig, clove, herbal, and yeast earthiness. Lingering notes of chocolate, cocoa, coffee, roasted malt, raisin, fig, toast, toffee, clove, herbal, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a while. Damn nice complexity and balance of dark/roasted malt and yeast ester flavors; with lush robustness and no cloying flavors after the finish. Medium-high carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a very creamy and silky mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a slight warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a really excellent Belgian imperial stout! All around great complexity and balance of dark/roasted malt and yeast ester flavors; and very smooth to sip on. A very enjoyable offering.
