33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Hogerdijk, Culemborg. Dark brown with a beige head. Aroma of coffee and roasted malts. Bitter taste but with a light sweetness to it. Very smooth mouthfeel, maybe even too smooth for an imperial stout but I think this has to do with the sweetness. Still a good beer though.

33ml bottle Black with a firm tan head. Aroma:Licorice, coffee, roasted malts, Barley malts Taste: sweet Laurus nobilis Licorice. Perfecr Liquid versions. Start sweet and then has a very bitter afterttaste. Medium - to full body, slightly above average carbonation. ( High for an imperial stout.) A bit one dimensional, but it’s perfect liiquid laurus nobilis licorice.

Appearance- pitch black, big three finger beige foamy head which persists impressively. Aroma- lots of chocolate, liquorice and blackcurrant, cocoa, milky coffee, a little bit of toffee. Taste- large amount of coffee, plenty of bitterness, cocoa and dark chocolate in the background, hint of dark fruit and blackcurrant. Quite a long finish, and a medium mouthfeel. A good stout.

Pours very dark with a think tan head. Very carbonated for an imperial stout. Aromas of roasted malts, dark chocolate, coffee, and dark fruit. Taste of roasted malts, slight coffee, and chocolate. Something different in the taste i am guessing is Belgian yeast. Smooth creamy mouth feel. Rather dry finish. Definately gets better as it warms. Diferent from most RIS I have had but well worth the price.

Bottle sample at a tasting at the Beer & Beyond shop. Thanks Stas and Vova. Murky dark brown with creamy head. Oatmeal and raisins and porridge and dried fruit aroma, sweetish, a little alcoholic, then roasty and bitter in the mouth. Heavy, full body, fairly carbonated, long, roasty finish.

Bottled. Pours clear, deep brown with a large, creamy, lacing, tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, licorice and yeast notes. Sweet flavor tha ends up more dry and quite bitter. Medium to full bodied, oily texture and soft carbonation. An excellent Impy.
